You will architect, design, implement and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability and other quality goals • Be the testing expert: Use your thoroughly-honed QA methodologies to help drive testing across both the QA organization and our technology team as a whole. Coordinate with your team and development counterparts in creating/overseeing bug tracking, test prioritization, test automation and releases. *Other Duties* • Work closely with team members to evangelize an emphasis on quality through the entire SDLC. • Review Business Requirement (BRS) and System Requirement Specifications (SRS). • Consult with our personnel to analyze, evaluate and verify requirements. • Create test cases, test data and testing status reports. • Develop automated test scripts. • Perform automated and manual testing of our applications. • Maintain existing automated test framework / develop new automated test framework • Document and follow up on issues found in our applications. • Work collaboratively with other personnel to resolve application and system issues. • Assist in application data verification. • Assist in the development and implementation of test strategies and test plans. • Assist in preparing and maintaining testing program documentation. • Help make education accessible to people who need it • Other duties as assigned. *Work Experience* • At least five years of hands-on experience in software test / QA engineering. • 3+ years of experience testing web applications • 3+ years of writing and debugging Ruby/Java frameworks • Experience testing web applications constructed using JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and related technologies. • Database experience with MSSQL and Oracle. • Solid working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC). • Experience with Ruby/Watir preferred but experience with any programming language is a plus. • Understanding of SDLC change management concepts including code branching, version control, audit process and oversight. • Current hands-on experience as a Team Lead / Test Lead • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong sense of self-motivation, organization and attention to detail; strong analytical skills • Preference for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects. • Experience within financial and insurance business models is a plus. Working Conditions • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis. • Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone. • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
