*Description:*



· *Responsibilities for this Position Include:*

· The candidate must have strong VMware skills – not just
administration, but architecture and design. This is a large enterprise
environment. The candidate is expected to have 8+ years of
VMware/Enterprise knowledge.

· The candidate must also have very strong backup and recovery
background as well as DR (for example VMware SRM).

· The candidate must have excellent communication skills – to
understand the technology at a deep level, but then be able to explain the
key pieces to senior leadership. The candidate will be an internal
consultant to this organization.

· Database virtualization expertise is an asset.

Short-Term: 2 Months Extension

*Travel: 2 weeks in North Carolina, followed by 4 weeks in Livingston, NJ*

Phone Interview



*CIT requires a VMware resource for an initial duration of 6 weeks with a
possible extension of an additional 6 weeks. *



The VMware resource would be responsible for the following:

Support the CIT desktop migration engineering group as they migrate users
to the Horizon virtual desktops

Provide administrative tasks around the VMware Horizon environment

Provide best practices around networking/security of VMware Horizon

Monitor the VMware vSphere/Horizon environment

Perform DR/BCP testing (failover/failback)

Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) regarding the VMware Horizon
environment utilizing CIT templates



Note: the VMware resource will be managed by CIT. Support is during normal
business
