The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking an Oracle Business
Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Developer with solid experience and
knowledge in implementing enterprise level RPD’s, reports (BI Publisher,
Answers/Dashboard), and analytics. Candidate must be able to develop RPD’s,
reports, and dashboards. Candidate will be expected to migrate legacy
reporting business logic from SAP (BO/WI, Crystal Reports) and Microsoft
(SSRS). Candidate must demonstrate ability to be productive and effective
in report conversion. Candidate must be capable and committed to delivering
results on-time/on-schedule.

The Enterprise Reporting and Analytics Team is composed of 5 report
developers and a team leader. The team is migrating Microsoft SSRS reports
and SAP Business Objects (v. 4)/Crystal Reports to OBIEE (with Exalytics)
BI Publisher and Answers/Dashboards.  Over 1000+ SAP reports are currently
supported and will be assessed for retirement/replacement using OBIEE.
Approximately 30 SSRS reports also will be converted. Development will be
focused on providing ad hoc analysis to specific business authors and
rolling out reports to business consumers. Current reports utilize the
enterprise data warehouse (Oracle Exadata) and connections to SQL Server
2008/2012 and Oracle 11g/12c databases.

The team develops enterprise reports within IT applications
(internal/external) and on the web. Reports serve all facets of the
transportation enterprise from financials, programs/projects, human
resources, to federally required reporting. The team coordinates with
client, server, network, and database/data warehouse personnel to integrate
supporting IT architecture. Moving forward, ad hoc analytics/dashboards,
geospatial (Esri) integration, and Microsoft Office add-in integration will
also be implemented.

The position end date is set for the end of the Georgia DOT fiscal year.
Georgia DOT may exercise the option to renew contracts in one year
increments. Several successful developers have continued working for
several years with contract extensions. However, Georgia DOT is under no
obligation to extend contracts and may terminate employment at any time.

*Responsibilities:*

· Builds OBIEE reports and dashboards using BI Publisher, Answers
and Dashboards

· Models, configures and optimizes the RPD/Universes from Data
Warehouse (OLAP) and databases (OLTP)

· Develop, implement, and maintain data cubes, loading data,
dimensions, calculating data and aggregation techniques

· Design, develop, and document OBIEE repository/metadata

· Configures Ad Hoc query and Reporting environments

· Building geospatial reports/dashboards

· Developing MS Office based content using Oracle Office tools

· Assists in OBIEE administration, system maintenance, and upgrades

· Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with minimal user
disruption

· Working in a team environment to develop reports and/or
dashboards while working as a team member on an assigned project

· Works with business users to gather reporting/analytics
requirements

· Perform unit, system and integration testing

· Manage capacity and performance requirements

· Close engagement with Enterprise Architects, Data Warehousing,
Database, and Server Administration teams in collaborative design

· Provide design and development mentorship/cross-training with
fellow team members

· Deliver solid, scalable, robust BI reporting/analytic solutions

· Assists in the administration and implementation of BI
system/system security

· Prepare estimates of time for design and development

*Required Skills:*

· 8+ years of IT development experience

· 5+ years of experience in writing PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, etc.

· 5+ years of experience as an Oracle BI development using OBIEE
with deep expertise in RDP design/development

· 4 year Bachelor’s degree with preferred concentration in IT, data
science, or business

· 2+ years of experience with star-schema, snowflake, FACT, and

Description
The client executes fiscal and administrative policies that server to
ensure the financial stability, efficiency and effectiveness of state
government and assist the Governor in developing and implementing
cost-effective public policy initiatives to benefit the residents of the
Commonwealth.
ANF develops, analyzes, and manages the Commonwealths financial planning
and resource allocation activities, including the Governor’s budget
submission to the Legislature.
This is a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Candidates must be self-motivated, responsible team players who are willing
to work nights and weekends during peak work cycles.
The technical unit is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the
MA Budget Application (Oracle Hyperion Financial Planning Plus), electronic
data exchanges using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) with the Commonwealth
Information Warehouse, inputting of data from flat file sources and reports
development and administration.

Responsibilities:
Work with ongoing project team to design and develop OBIEE Dashboards & BI
Publisher Reports using Oracle OBIEE 11g
Work with Commonwealth resources to run and manage OBIEE 11g
Make agreed upon enhancements to current / existing report/dashboard
solutions
Support business operations via OBIEE including: investigating defects or
issues, assisting with usage tracking metrics, and updating BI Publisher
reports for label changes
Support on-going project activities to ensure that additional reports,
dashboards, BI Publisher tasks are completed to a high quality standard.
This includes helping to
Create functional requirements, use cases and technical specifications as
an input to application design
Develop solutions and prototypes as per detailed functional designs and
comply with development methodology and other technical standards set by
ANF and ITD
Plan and develop test cases, scenarios and scripts to validate
functionality of the OBIEE solutions
Perform unit and regression testing of code and provide results to project
team, which include screen shots and data anomalies. Re-test, if necessary,
to ensure quality output.
Write and maintain functional, technical, and programming documentation.
Research questions using available information and resources including
consultation with Oracle through their SR process
Provide technical support to internal and external customers on OBIEE
application functionality
Ensure that all incidents and requests are resolved and handled promptly
and in order of priority.
Prepare activity and status reports. Facilitate meetings to provide status
of incidents and requests.
Maintain confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored
or accessed.

Basic / Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience operating and running OBIEE/Siebel Analytics
applications and solutions for a large complex organization, supporting
business needs and addressing / fixing defects
OBIEE development experience, including Report and dashboard creation
Repository design/build Web Catalog security Oracle SQL statements
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, research and communication skills
