Title: ETL DataStage Architect posted on 2014-04-17 08:47:01 Job Description:*Project Description:* The project involves building a datamodel that sources ticketing information from the service now cloud based ticketing application. *Qualifications:* Requires a bachelor's degree in the area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or related area. *Location: *Constant will be required to work onsite. Consultant based in the NY metro area is preferred. Senior resource with datastage 9.1 enterprise skilled. Experience working with cloud based systems via xml in Datastage is a plus. Experience pulling data from ServiceNow a cloud service would be a major plus. Job Requirements: *Required Experience:* - Minimum of 3 year experience in Datastage ETL Development - Minimum of 6 year experience in Data warehousing, data modeling and data warehousing concepts. - Strong Oracle database and SQL skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Expert experience in performance tuning and load optimization. - Experience sourcing data from web services using datastage. - Experience with sourcing from XML based data sources. - Being detailed oriented is a must, obtain sign off from the appropriate leads and ability to stay organized and reporting status will be required. - Ability to effectively create technical document and requirements. - Ability to think and act independently and lead others. - Ability to research and provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality. - Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts and performing data testing. - Experience with Datastage enterprise edition *Preferred experience:* - Experience with Service Now application or data structures (Major plus) - Experience with Datastage Enterprise edition version 9.1 - Experience working on Higher Education warehousing projects - Experience with building datamodel from start to finish on their own, with the support of a Business Analyst.
