"PeopleSoft Finance General Ledger Lead Consultant" Chapell Hill,NC 6+ months contract Description: ***PeopleSoft Finance General Ledger Lead Consultant*** PeopleSoft Financials Lead General Ledger Consultant for the ConnectCarolina Project. This position reports to the PeopleSoft Financials Functional Lead and will work closely with the PM and the Finance Team which includes consultant and UNC specialists in AR/Billing, AP/PO, Projects/Grants and Workflow. This is for the implementation of PeopleSoft FMS 9.1, providing the following services: Leading the design and implementation of the General Ledger capability for the University. Knowledge and experience in Fund Accounting Working closely with the Commitment Control and other leads to configure, test and document the interaction of those modules with GLs. Overall accountability to plan the work in the GL area and ensure it is done per committed schedule to the Project Manager Working with existing functional, technical and customer team members to ensure solutions integrate with UNC desired processes, HCM and existing Campus Solutions v 9.0 decisions. Transferring knowledge to UNC Staff throughout the project. Participating in the development of the test plans and scenarios as it relates to testing GL. Documenting functional designs for identified customizations. Proficient in the use and creation of Allocations and nVision reports Ability to create ledgers on the Cash basis as well as Modified Accrual basis of accounting Advising the University on the best practices related to PeopleSoft FMS v9.1 GL. Working with HCM and the Campus Solutions teams. The contractor is expected to work a 40 hour week Monday through Friday (8 Hours per day) or Monday through Thursday (10 hours per day). Local candidates should expect to work Monday through Friday. At least 5 years prior experience implementing the GL in a lead capacity in PeopleSoft with some prior v 9.1 experience in an implementation. Higher Education experience is required. Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communications skills are required. Desired experience includes exposure to any/all of the following: AR/Billing, GL, AP, PO, ePro, Grants, Projects, KK, AWE Workflow, and Financials 9.1 security.
