MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

.             One full life cycle SAP project implementation preferred.

.             3 + years of Business Warehouse developer experience preferred

.             1 + years experience with SAP Business Objects preferred

.             Knowledge of ABAP development and SAP data dictionary

.             In-depth knowledge and experience with HR/Payroll process
areas a must

.             Must have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work
directly with technical development and support teams to     

                      effectively drive the adoption and implementation of
recommendations 

.             Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access

 

ASSUMPTIONS & DEPENDENCIES

.             Access to SCEIS management and staff, both within the
technical and functional teams.

.             Access and training on infrastructure utilized for the SCEIS
Project. 

.             Access to technical staff at SCEIS and the State Data Center
at Broad River Road as needed.

 

 

SCOPE OF PROJECT

 

Summary:

Working under the direction of the South Carolina Enterprise Information
System (SCEIS) Architecture, Design and Technology Lead, candidates will
provide functional/technical consulting services related to the design,
development, testing, and support of SAP Business Warehouse software,
specifically related to HR/Payroll, which is currently being implementing
across South Carolina State government.  The major components of SAP
included are finance, budgeting, materials management, supplier relationship
management, human resources and payroll modules.

 

The SAP Functional/Technical Consultant must have in-depth knowledge of
Business Warehouse and Business Intelligence functionality of the SAP
software with experience utilizing this software for HR/Payroll, preferably
in public sector organizations.

The SAP Functional/Technical Consultant must have extensive knowledge of
integration points within the SAP software, be able to define and develop
standard and custom Data Extractors, InfoCubes and DataStores using
extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and be able to develop reports
using Business Warehouse tools.

SAP Functional/Technical Consultant must have extensive knowledge developing
such Data extractors, InfoCubes, DataStores and reports for HR/Payroll
Modules of SAP.  

The SAP Functional Consultant should have knowledge of other Business
Warehouse performance tools.  Public sector experience is highly desired.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

.             Participate with senior managers, as appropriate, to
develop/refine implementation strategy for Business Warehouse and Business
Intelligence

.             Work closely with users to analyze business requirements and
develop functional specifications

.             Work closely with other BW team members to design, define, and
develop data extractors, transformations, InfoCubes, DataStores, etc. for
HR/Payroll

.             Conduct and demonstrate leadership during the Integration
Testing of the Business Warehouse functionality of SAP

.             Resolve SAP defects via SAP OSS (Online Support System) and
system errors via a working knowledge of the integration with other SAP
modules

.             Aid in the development of the training curriculum, guides,
checklist and courses 

.             Provide in-depth knowledge of and extensive hands-on
experience with SAP BW, with a concentration in data modeling and data
warehouse design for HR/Payroll

.             Provide extensive experience with Business Explorer Analyzer,
Browser and Query Designer 

.             Provide experience in designing and implementing both BEx and
Web Reports and templates 

.             Provide detailed knowledge of BW architectural and system
components, with an in-depth knowledge of how to balance design to achieve
desired performance goals with low TCO (total cost of ownership) 

.             Provide in-depth knowledge BW Administrator Workbench objects
like DSOs, InfoProviders, Multi-providers, InfoSets, Transformations, and
maintaining Process Chains

.             Provide detailed knowledge of data extraction from both SAP
R/3, SRM and non-SAP systems 

.             Have ability to create custom DataSources

.             Have experience in ABAP to write custom codes for
transformations, enhancing DataSources and custom variables for reports

.             Be able to optimize performance of  BW using aggregates,
indexing and compression

.             Demonstrate experience with BW technical content 

.             Provide extensive experience in the use of various BW
performance tools, such as RSRV, RSRTRACE, ST03, ST04

.             Provide knowledge of Reporting Agent, Pre-Calculated Queries,
Off- Line Reporting and Information Broadcaster

.             Provide knowledge of SAP Business Objects and integration with
BW

.             Provide knowledge of BW Security and Analysis Authorizations

.             Provide effective oral and written communication skills

 

 

Time-frame:  Positions to begin effective on or about 10/05/2009; for
approximately 6 months. Renewal for six (6) additional months. 

LOCATION:  Positions will be based at the South Carolina Enterprise
Information Systems Project Office, Browning Road, Fourth Floor, in
Columbia, South Carolina.  Computer network access, phone, and access to
printers, copiers, and fax will be provided.  Meetings may be held at remote
offices of the Division of State Information Technology or other SCEIS
stakeholders generally in the Columbia area.
