Position: Windows admin/Remote management systems expert Location: Baltimore, MD Duration: 9-12 months Rate:$40/hr DESCRIPTION The candidate should possess current, hands-on experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems, networking and networking concepts, as well as expert knowledge of remote management tools such as Attachmate WinInstall, Microsoft SMS, or Symantec Altiris or similar tools. The candidate must posses excellent communication and customer service skills. The position requires expert knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, and remote management concepts and tools. Experience designing, implementing and maintaining one or more desktop management systems such as Attachmate WinInstall 9.x Experience with Windows server operating systems and related backup and recovery tools are required. The position requires analytical and programming experience in shell scripting and database management. Familiarity with HTML and T-SQL required, knowledge of ASP .NET in web programming is a plus. Additional skills Experience with change management and disaster recovery concepts & tools. Expert diagnostic and troubleshooting skills of highly intergraded complex environments is required. The ability to self-direct and work independently and mentor other staff members are greatly beneficial. Experience with formal project management methodologies and tools is a plus. Education An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field, or equivalent work experience.
