The Monarch engineering team within the Software and Applications Group (SWAG) lives at the intersection of the network and software applications. We are responsible for key technologies that enable service providers to scale their business by providing new experiences for their customers by creating programmable networks. The product portfolio includes network analytics, policy control, Self-Optimizing Network (SON), and WAN orchestration capabilities to give network operators better tools for monetizing traffic. The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer position within this Monarch team is responsible for various aspects of testing of the technologies that we provide. Since we integrate into so many of Cisco's core technologies, technical collaboration across boundaries is necessary. Must have 3g and 4g Experience Responsibilities - All aspects of testing including Functional, System and Solution level testing - Integration testing with Cisco network technologies (e.g., ASR5500) and other solution components - Support IOTs with Cisco and 3rd party network vendors - Test local and geographic HA redundancy models - Document test configurations, KPIs, and solution architectures - Work with geographically dispersed test teams on a regular basis - Effectively communicate/escalate support issues to engineering within the business unit, and resolutions/workarounds to the Customer Support Engineers. - Utilize the lab to recreate and resolve customer issues.
