*Overview :*

Perform Production support and development and design activities at client
site for ETL.



*Responsibilities :*

· Interact with stakeholders for requirement

· Assist on support and enhancements modules

· Query Optimization

· Review functional requirements and technical specifications and
document them as needed



*Requirements*

Around 6+ years of experience on complex transformation and loading of
high-volume data in terabytes

Experience in Datastage

Experienced in SQL, PL/SQL

Knowledge of Prorduction support and development

 Excellent communication skills

 Excellent in datawarehousing concept Knowledge of BO

 Strong DW concepts

 Strong Analysis skills

Have good communication skills, interpersonal relations, hard working and
result oriented as an individual

Strong skills in all aspects of SQL development (triggers, stored
procedures, views, etc.) and implementation.

Experience writing large, complex stored procedure involving temp tables,
cursors, and multiple nested procedure calls.

Experience in performance tuning , Strong performance tuning knowledge in
SQL and ability to interpret plans, identify bottlenecks in queries and
remediate them.

Experience with ETL development (Datastage) and Data Integration.

Strong knowledge of database technologies and principles, including data
modeling, data mapping etc.

Strong experience with data analysis, troubleshooting data issue.

Fluent in relational database concepts and flat file processing concepts.

Must be knowledgeable in software development lifecycles/methodologies

Work with customers to understand reporting and system integration
requirements

Coordination of offshore work

Should have Experience in Development / Production Support and maintenance

Should have Experience in designing the data mart and datawarehouse

Should demonstrate excellence in understanding the existing data models and
ability to redesign them as per changing business needs

Should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Should have experience in dealing with business users and Sr. Management

A strong knowledge of business intelligence design concepts, with a
concentration in dimensional modeling in RDBMS

A strong working knowledge of SQL

Should have worked on projects involving medium – large data warehouses

DataStage - developer, troubleshooter, admin, as per Ascential/IBM best
practices for using DataStage


Oracle - knowledge of database concepts, PL/SQL, Oracle ETL features,
performance tuning at database level and at SQL and PL/SQL level.

UNIX - Shell scripting, Oracle and DataStage development on UNIX platform,
ability to package SQL and DataStage jobs in UNIX

 Autosys - ability to automate/parameterize processes through Autosys so
minimal manual intervention is needed in the release promotion process

 Data Modeling - strong understanding of relational data modeling concepts
 Communication - verbal and written communication skills, ability and belief
in documenting processes, designs, etc.
 Others - SDLC methodology, parameterized development, experienced in
release/promotion process, knowledge and experience in ETL best practices,
organized, structured, ability to take on and deliver multiple tasks and
assignments, willingness to mentor, team player.
