Re: [openhealth] Open World Forum 2009, Paris, 1-2 October 2009

2009-07-27 Thread Philippe Ameline
Hi Thomas,

I volunteer for a presentation about Open source and new paradigms in
health.
Being French and living in Paris, I can also help in organizing some
things if needed.

Cheers,

Philippe

 Hi all,

I have started the initiative to organize a session about FLOSS in
health care at the Open World Forum 2009 in Paris
 http://openworldforum.org.
Please find the Call for submissions here
 http://openworldforum.org/program/open-world-forum-call-for-submissions.
I think this is a great opportunity to present the FLOSS in health care
community to the general FLOSS community and to find avenues of
 collaboration.
Unfortunately I only noticed the OWF some days ago so that the timeframe
to set something up is extremely short.
The organizing team needs to know the content of the session / speakers
/ duration as soon as possible but latest until 30th of July.
I am planing to do a general presentation of FLOSS in health care and a
short introduction to the EFMI LIFOSS WG
 http://www.helmholtz-muenchen.de/ibmi/efmi/index.php?Itemid=260id=1076option=com_contenttask=view

If you would like to contribute to this session, please let me know as
 soon as possible.

 Dear Mr Karopka,
Thanks for your proposal about* the presentation of your community
at the Open World Forum. *
We can again add a new event in our program, perhaps more focused on a
presentation of European Federation Medical Informatics (EFMI)
Libre/Free Open Source working group (LIFOSS WG) .
I send you informations about OWF 2009 and a file on the canevas
for an associated event? Could you define the contents of your
 proposal? ( main items,speaker,duration,...)
We need those informations as soon as possible in order to plan this
event. ( before the July 30th)
 .
 Freely and best regards

Dear Mr. Montarges, I came across the Open World Forum website
today and think this is a great event. I am currently co-chair of
the European Federation Medical Informatics (EFMI) Libre/Free Open
 Source working group (LIFOSS WG)

 http://www.helmholtz-muenchen.de/ibmi/efmi/index.php?Itemid=260id=1076option=com_contenttask=view

 http://www.helmholtz-muenchen.de/ibmi/efmi/index.php?Itemid=260id=1076option=com_contenttask=view
and vice-chair of the International Medical Informatics
Association Open Source working group (IMIA OS WG)

 http://www.imia.org/working_groups/WG_Profile.lasso?-Search=Action-Table=CGI-MaxRecords=1-SkipRecords=11-Database=organizations-KeyField=Org_ID-SortField=workgroup_sig-SortOrder=ascendingtype=wgsig

Both working groups are promoting FLOSS in all areas of health
care including biomedical informatics and ambient assisted living.
I am very interested in representing our community at the Open
World Forum. I know that the event is already very close. Please
let me know if there is still a chance of contribution. Kind
 regards, Thomas Karopka
