How large are these VA's? Like how many beds/clinical encounters per

The VA has a staff of about 80 programmes in Salt Lake dedicated to
further development of Vista. ( I got these numbers frrom
a doc at the SF VA who is a regular and happy user of Vista.)

We decided against using Vista for an informatics oriented research
grant at UCSF primarily for these reasons. We did not have nearly
 enough
staff to keep the thing going.

To paraphrase Will Ross - Free software isn't.

To be completely honest, I also didn't want to do something in
MUMPS/Cache on DEC Alpha systems. We are in the 21st century, after
 all.

Since the government cannot copyright, I thought VA VISTA was always
 'free'.
I was able to purchase it for $25 on CD from the General Printing
Office
 Is this different than that?
