That worked, it seems. What does the '12' signify? Feel like an idiot, I do... And, where can I find some docs to help me evaluate reports? In /use/share/docs/smartmontools? Hans J. [OpenIndiana-discuss] smartmontools under OI151a7
I have an OI 151a7 system that for some reason NEVER EVER could be updated. I have tried, following lots of ideas from lots of people on this list, but to absolutely no avail. So, I have come to a point where I absolutely need to run smartmontools to avoid problems, and smartctl fails. I installed smartmontools version 6.5 from a tar ball, and it seems to run, but using it fails. What could be wrong??? does this indicate a sw error or something broken in the SATA interfaces?? 1. If there are such needs, users have to buy cloud services from Oracle. Is it correct? So data-machine and fishwork-storage are some kinds of variations from Solaris and SPARC, if users want to touch by hand. Thanks.
