Re: [OpenIndiana-discuss] Survey: What nvidia card you use?

2019-10-03 Thread Lou Picciano
Currently the: NVIDIA GPU Quadro K600 (GK107GL)

Though would certainly ‘modernize’ if the weight of progress so dictated…

Agreed, though; simply being able to pick and choose driver would be most
welcome.

Tks for your efforts, Lou

NVidia GPU GeForce GT 740 (GK107)

And now when fighting with wine (
https://github.com/OpenIndiana/oi-userland/pull/5124 ) I actually see some 'XID
31: Fifo: MMU Error' issues. I'm not sure if it's wine or NVidia driver issue.

I'm using nvidia Quadro K620 successfully. I tried uninstalling the 340
driver as part of installing a newer driver (downloaded from the nvidia
site) to support a . I could not get the old driver removed because
supporting install files were missing. So I have a K620 but it sounds
like I may not be able to use it soon if the 390 driver is also
uninstallable. At least provide all the required driver install files
for a successful uninstall with the distribution using the pkg command
please. Thanks, Jack
