In regard to: Re: [OpenIndiana-discuss] cannot update system, Apostolos...: I think I have solved the sound problem. I just played a bit with Applications --> Video & Sound --> Sound (the titles are in Greek so I am translating) Do you remember if you had to make any changes in there, or was it enough to just start that application, to get audio working? It has been about a month since I last did a 'pkg update' on my main hipster workstation, so I'm keenly interested in any problems (and fixes!) that people run into with 2016.10. Hi. Apostolos Syropoulos via openindiana-discuss писал 01.11.2016 19:55: This has been discussed on the list multiple times, and it's described in the release notes, in one of the very first sections: Probably I wasn't paying much attention :-( But after applying the work-around I managed to update the system but I did not get MATE, the latest Xorg and my gcc has not been updated. Latest gcc-49 is developer/gcc-49@4.9.4,5.11-2016.0.1.0:20161027T162708Z . We have gcc-5, developer/gcc-5@5.4.0,5.11-2016.0.1.1:20161027T164829Z , but it's a separate package. --- System Administrator of Southern Federal University Computer Center ___ openindiana-discuss mailing list openindiana-discuss@openindiana.org https://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
