Re: JavaFX 11 - Where is ButtonBuilder, HBoxBuilder, etc...?

2019-01-09 Thread Ajit Ghaisas
Hi,

Builders were removed from JavaFX since jdk9.
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8092861

There is no alternative as such but to construct the needed scene graph objects
directly.
Please see description of https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8175964
.

Regards,
Ajit

JavaFX 11 - Where is ButtonBuilder, HBoxBuilder, etc...?

2019-01-09 Thread Heitor Projects - Jose
Hi,

I am migrating a swing interop application from JavaFX-8  to JavaFX-11...

Have the ButtonBuilder, HBoxBuilder, etc. been removed? And if so, can anyone
point me to an example alternative?

To really help finding and solving the problem you need to provide
source code for us to reproduce the problem.

For the actual application see the repo[1]. I've uploaded a new
release(see releases page) which can be used to actually run without
compiling.

Requirements to run are of course Linux but also:

1. A modern Nvidia GPU

2. Nvidia GPU driver(newer is better)

3. Nvidia-smi(should come with driver)

4. Nvidia-settings(may ship with binary driver depending on distro).

If a dummy GUI is necessary I can strip anything that isn't JavaFX.

MainAppContentBox.java and the content of the various "NavButton"(s)
is the most relevant bits.
