Re: Only images are show in Whiteboard out of a doc

2010-03-11 Thread Jyothivas Nair
Hi,

if you want to get your red5 to run as a service you can try editing
your "wrapper.conf", not sure but there is a parameter which specifies
which account the wrapper should start with, where you can specify an
administrator account credentials for that machine
else you can right click on red5 service from windows services menu
goto properties, and try specifing your administrator account
credentials inside the "logon" tab

hope it helps...

Chroma key effect in openmeetings?

2010-03-11 Thread Juan Fernando Herrera J.
Hi. Would it be feasible to make use of the bluescreen chroma key in
openmeetings in order to show the lecturer image overlaid on the
document, like here?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMFV9-WHYc0

This other demo showcases the effect in flash.

Re: Error in establishing SQL Server connection

2010-03-11 Thread Sebastian Wagner
that really means the database connection could not be acquired.
To process more easy I would suggest you just install MySQL for now.
Its for free and usually works out of the box and there are easy to
use windows installers available.

Error in establishing SQL Server connection

2010-03-11 Thread sid
Ok. so I downloaded the jdbc.jar file in the WEB-INF folder for
openmeetings and here are my config for the hibernate file:

Remote/Administrator

com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
org.hibernate.dialect.SQLServerDialect
jdbc:sqlserver://209.17.190.95:455/
db1;databaseName=openmeetings;autoReconnect=true;useUnicode=true;createDatabaseIfNotExist=true;characterEncoding=utf8

When I restart Red5 server, I am getting an error file generated in
the log folde which reads something like this:

"While trying to acquire a needed new resource, we failed to succeed
more than the maximum number of allowed acquisition attempts (30).
Last acquisition attempt exception:
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException:
Could not create connection to database server. Attempted reconnect 3
times. Giving up.

Openmeetings conversion support for docx, xlsx, pptx

2010-03-11 Thread romfeo
I have an installation of the latest openmeetings, latest version of
the tools and the latest version of Open Office.

I can convert doc, xls and ppt files but not the docx, xlsx and pptx.

Does conversion supports these types of files?

playing movies ?

2010-03-11 Thread doyle
Hi, I have searched already, but don´t know if or where to find the
following:

1. Is it possible in a conference Room (restricted or whatever) to
load and to play a f.e. flash movie or a movie in general, that al
clients can see the movie ? (Maybe including sound?)

2. When importing PPT, what happens with an including movie ? I´m not
sure, but I mean, that it won´t be imported to.

3. Is there also a Function available or planned that you can open a
browserwindow at the Whiteboard, that the clients can see the
browserwindow and the given URL (better said the content of it) to ?

BTW, is there anybody able to do a translation of the Openmeetings (to
German?), but truly said, I really don´t understand for what the
moodle plugin or the SugarCRM Module is for. The Videos are nice, no
question, but I really don´t know what they like to tell me. I know, a
big shame on me.

thanks for your answers
Markus

Re: Only images are show in Whiteboard out of a doc

2010-03-11 Thread romfeo
After i thorough look in the error logs i found that during the
pdf2swf process i get hte following errors:

org.openmeetings.app.documents.GeneratePDF [Thread-16] - line: Error:
