one default private room for each user. (for instant private meetings)
Hi, first of all fantastic application! thanks to all of you! It would be nice to have a way that : users log in and invite other users (even external) to an instant video meeting on a his own private virtual room, accessible directly on the private room tab. (This happen if you schedule a meeting in the Openmmeting calendar) In fact the other rooms are a bit to public for our req. (everyone on the organization could join for a moment..and the moderator doesn't notice). Of course the work-around is to create small organizations... Or it could be good to implement a function of shut door in a room so noone else could partecipate... (so to control the load of the host as well) I tried to insert the room and fake the date in mysql db, but no success... Hi German, to avoid high bandwidht usage you can also tell your students only to share audio not video. For changing the default quality setting you would need to change the login-box. Only with the Shared Browsing and pointing to a Youtube URL. Otherwise there is no audio- or video-player at that moment. Hi Cucu, there is another way to achieve that. You should be using the SOAP Gateway. That way you can build a system that you would like based on your personal business logic and just generate links to conference room as you want to. Hello folks! I received a mission Install a moodle with openmeetings on a enviroment with aprox. 1500 online simultaneous users. What kind of hardware is needed to run this enviroment? I have in mind a Dell Server with 2 processors Xeon X5600 with 16 gb ram ddr3 udimm is sufficient? Suggestions? 1500 simultaneous, yes you should be happy with the system you proposing. But also keep an eye on bandwidth.
