Running on Linux
Starting Red5

Re: Fail start Red5

2010-10-24 Thread Sebastian Wagner
This can be the case on VPS systems.
Is the memory really FREE and can be allocated ?! Sometimes some
(actually bad) providers claim that they give you for example a
VServer with 8GB RAM. BUt actually you share that Server with 10 other
customers and nobody is able to allocate memory.

Re: Fail start Red5

2010-10-24 Thread arif wicahyanto
Sorry to inform, the problem is actually solved, I am not on VPS , I am on
dedicated
server. First I guest I have no sufficient RAM because when I did 'free' it
just left 400k free.
Then I do RAM 'clear' but the problem is still occurred.

After googling I found that my system has limit memory usage for a program,
then I use ulimit
to change the memory limit for a program. The red5 then works perfectly.

Re: Sony PS3 - works!

2010-10-24 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Hi d0t,

that sounds interesting, the problems to access the device are all the same
no matter which device you take. On the Android it is the same for Flash, it
cannot access the webcam, so actually a conference is not possible.

Sebastian

2010/10/24 d0t d0t101...@gmail.com

Went to BestBuy and purchased a Playstation Eye specifically to test
openmeetings, considering their return policy is pretty good...

Unfortunately I was unable to access any accessories (various video/
mics) via flash 9, including my 'borrowed' Playstation Eye. :) To
test, I also attempted to use other console/cam web based flash video
chat solutions, with but no results. They all play remote live
streams perfectly, but local hardware on the playstation is not
accessible. Ironically I found nothing via google searches on this
topic prior to buying one - apparently flash on the PS3 can't interact
with hardware devices, anywhere similar to how it can on a PC. The OM
popup shows no options for audio/video. The PS3's EyeCam app looks
great even in low light, and sound is acceptable, I hope someone can
prove me wrong and make this work..

Will test it further before returning it, was hoping for a $40 (+)
liviing room OpenMeetings conference system, with 120hz video
(320x240), with an array of 4 microphones, noise canceling, and more.
Apparently this wasn't prioritized thanks to Sony/Adobe shortcomings
regarding the consoles hardware accessibility, flash, RSX, and more...

Demo Server updated to r3415

2010-10-24 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Hi,

our Demo Server is now updated to r3145.

It contains some updates around community features, like private messages,
contacts, search the user list, organize events with your contacts, see the
contacts calendar, et cetera...

We will feature freeze this release-cycle now and care about bugs for the
next major release.
Feel free to comment and try out.

Open Meetings 1.5 and Active Directory-

2010-10-24 Thread Boetheus
I have tried to setup my Active Directory, but when I log in I see the
top graphics, profile and logout link, and I get waiting for
localhost in the task bar. I am not getting any errors. I just need
to know what could be happening and what should I check.

Leaving conference issue on Vista and IE8

2010-10-24 Thread Song
Hello,

I have noticed a strange behavior in the latest release of Open
Meeting, If I enter a room using the browser IE8 running on Vista, if
I leave the conference room, to everyone else in the room I am still
in the conference room and everyone else in the conference can still
hear me talk, my username continue appear as if I am still in the
conference room. The only way that I can really get out of the room is
by closing down the browser or the tab which the site was opened in.

I have tried a few other tests, using Firefox, Chrome, and IE8 on
windows 7, those browsers work correctly as when I leave the
conference room. It is only when I use IE8 on Windows Vista, this
problem comes up. Its a bit alarming as this would give the user a
false sense that they left the conference room and no one can hear
them any more, but in actually everyone in the room can still hear him/
her.
