[openmeetings-user] Understanding conference recording - video error
Hi. I have a problem and seems to be a good idea to understand how openmeetings manage que video conferencer recordings. I've completely reinstalled openmeetings to the latest version. After share and record a conference I was able to download normally the video (flv and avi formats). But when I tried to do that again, with another new conference, the video wasn't available. I've taken a look at the directories and I've found lots of flv files and specially one (at webapps/openmeetings/streams/9/): rec_5_stream_d94b7c032552fb1118a5986cbcbfd6e4_27_10_2011_14_22_58.flv That's the video that I'm looking for. It has 3GB. But no sound. So, I've found too three wav files, the ONLY wav files in that day: rec_5_stream_66_27_10_2011_14_22_57_GAP_FULL_WAVE_1.wav rec_5_stream_66_27_10_2011_14_22_57_WAVE.wav rec_5_stream_66_27_10_2011_14_22_57_GAP_FULL_WAVE_0.wav Is there any way to generate the correct final file (video plus audio)? Is there any way to restart the openmeetings process that seems was broken? I haven't found any error in the log file that could cause that. The server has 60GB of free disk space. What could abort the generating video file? Here's the full flv file list of the day that I had the problem: rec_5_stream_76_27_10_2011_14_34_52.flv rec_5_stream_84_27_10_2011_15_23_11.flv rec_5_stream_82_27_10_2011_15_06_32.flv rec_5_stream_83_27_10_2011_15_06_50.flv rec_5_stream_89_27_10_2011_16_54_12.flv rec_5_stream_87_27_10_2011_15_40_51.flv rec_5_stream_78_27_10_2011_14_41_38.flv rec_5_stream_74_27_10_2011_14_24_55.flv rec_5_stream_70_27_10_2011_14_22_57.flv rec_5_stream_81_27_10_2011_15_04_40.flv rec_5_stream_88_27_10_2011_16_10_42.flv rec_5_stream_75_27_10_2011_14_25_56.flv rec_5_stream_66_27_10_2011_14_22_57.flv rec_5_stream_77_27_10_2011_14_36_57.flv rec_5_stream_86_27_10_2011_15_37_47.flv rec_5_stream_73_27_10_2011_14_22_57.flv rec_5_stream_85_27_10_2011_15_32_12.flv rec_5_stream_80_27_10_2011_14_55_24.flv rec_5_stream_69_27_10_2011_14_22_57.flv rec_5_stream_d94b7c032552fb1118a5986cbcbfd6e4_27_10_2011_14_22_58.flv TEST_SETUP_1319747604078.flv TEST_SETUP_1319733513018.flv TEST_SETUP_1319753357906.flv TEST_SETUP_1319735059796.flv TEST_SETUP_1319734912938.flv TEST_SETUP_1319733320934.flv TEST_SETUP_1319735976174.flv []s Alexander Brazil -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups OpenMeetings User group. Re: [openmeetings-user] Understanding conference recording - video error
Hi Alexander, the final recording is copied in /streams/hibernate/ after the conversion process is ready. Maybe the video conversion just did run into a timeout on your system, I think its currently 2 hours for a single conversion process. There is no way of restarting this process at the moment, however as you found out too, the raw files are still on the disk. It might be possible to create a simple hook that restarts the process, however that will require some changes in the code to customize and integrate a button to re-encode a recording.
