hi bidab, for linux the openlaszlo download is http://www.openlaszlo.org/download/form?dl_path=http://download.openlaszlo.org/4.3/openlaszlo-4.3-unix.tar.gz and for windows http://www.openlaszlo.org/download/form?dl_path=http://download.openlaszlo.org/4.3/openlaszlo-4.3-windows-dev-install.exe you will need the java sdk and jre on your machine, and also apache ant ( though im not sure if you need it) after downloading and install openlaszlo , download the client for openmeeting follow the instructions here http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/BuildSources if you reach till here and dont know how to go ahead , get back here on the list, i am also not a programmer in any sense, but after fighting with it a lot and smoekers i managed to compile the svn version. so you can do it too. the VH screen capture driver is awesome, with slight resizing done i can get the entire screen in the camera window. if i want my web cam too to come in , i login again with the same username and this time select my webcam. No more bad bandwidth errors. thank yoo smoeker, it was a really cool solution. ofcourse it should be possible, you will need the same softwares installed thats it. i have personally installed on slitaz, and was hoping by the end of next week to give sebastian and gang a live iso. my point is, if i could install it on slitaz, you can install it on any kind of linux. yep , i checked with pyodconverter,( the python variation of jodconverter) with a direct ppt to swf, it did not convert the animation. will have to try in some other way i guess. file sharing ppt with animation
Hi , one real weird request, but i think it is a real world example, the file upload sharing works great except for ppt's with animation, wherein we cannot see the animation. i thought that it wont be possible to do the same as the conversion occurs to pdf. but this link here http://blog.rubypdf.com/2007/07/30/ppttoswf-the-free-ways-to-convert-powerpoint-to-flash/ says its possible to convert ppt to flash using 000 impress or other additional tools, all of which i think is used by openmeeting. hi smoeker, but even with the original sharer, on a lan i was getting bad bandwidth error, i read on the mail list that this problem was solved with jrdesktop ( or i think i read something like that) , and im on a lan network, so i dont think i should be getting this error. any config values i need to change for the same ? Hi Sebastian, Thanx for your reply, i checked out the video on off option before. but what i was wondering was whether the videos of the user can be switch within one cam window itself. you see i dont want anyone to switch off the video , it ends up confusing them further. i think i didnt explain it right. 7 user in a conference all seven have their mike and camera switched on but each user gets only two camera windows. one which shows himself and the other window will switch videos based on who is talking. the point is i think , i want only two video windows as a user interface, even though everyones camera is on. the server gets all upload streams but will only download the streams of the person who is talking. please , im sorry, im finding it hard to convey it myself. if you still dont understand what i say , it ok.
