1500 simultaneous, yes you should be happy with the system you proposing.
But also keep an eye on bandwidth.
Depending on the room type and usage scenario you can have much higher or
lower bandwidth usage.

Hello folks!
I received a mission Install a moodle with openmeetings on a enviroment
with aprox. 1500 online simultaneous users.
What kind of hardware is needed to run this enviroment?
I have in mind a Dell Server with 2 processors Xeon X5600 with 16 gb ram
ddr3 udimm is sufficient?
