Thanks again. Fortunately I was able to get in once my memory came back. I will set the config settings to 0 for email as I want to be able to control who signs and by manually creating accounts. You can switch off emails by setting the configuration properties sendEmailAtRegister and sendEmailWithVerficationCode to 0. The configuration properties can either be editted in the Openmeetings interface at: Administration - Configuration or directly in the database in table configuration. And they are also set during the installation process (in case you decide to go through the installation process once more). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups OpenMeetings User group. All, I'm having issues as it seems my usernames got messed up in the database and I have not been able to login. I do not have email configured yet on this system either. What is the general procedure to either access the database and get to user name and passwords? Or just blow away the database and reinstall? Re: Student at University of Houston, Texas - Researching Teleconferencing Solutions
depending upon your database you can browse your database and read your user names, but passwords are encrypted which cant be retrieved i believe if your server doesn't have a email server installed just don't enter the email id field, otherwise it will try to send email to the entered email id and give a email not found error. to access the database, if you are using mysql use the mysql query browser. if you have lost your passwords blow your database, as you don't have a email server, as forgot password will regenerate passwords and try to send it by email.
