[OpenSocial] Re: iframe width

2007-12-29 Thread hobnobLover

A much easier way:

Even if the width of "main" isn't specified, you can find that by
using:

document.getElementById("main").offsetWidth();

that + 16px = the width of the iframe.

Hope it helps.

[OpenSocial] Re: "Beta" Test OpenSocial Applications

2007-12-28 Thread hobnobLover

I realized I needed to put a "one line description" after I posted
it... Anyways, thanks for it.

The hobnobLover.places application shows you latest places added on
hobnobLover. It shows you your places on hobnobLover, and you can also
see what places your friends have added. It has a nice map background,
and a thumbnail picture of that place. It'll only show places that
have privacy set to public, so your privacy is always protected! To
see your places, you must be registered, and to register, please go to
http://www.hobnobLover.com/ and click on the "Register" button. Once
you see your profile, you have to go to places, and add a place that
is "searchable." Soon, you'll see that place on Orkut.

Enjoy! :)

[OpenSocial] "Beta" Test OpenSocial Applications

2007-12-27 Thread hobnobLover

Hi,

I'm creating this thread as it is important for applications to be
tested before the launch once the coding part is over... You can just
put your app. url (xml url that is) in the reply, and someone can test
out the application.

I'll start:
---
I created hobnobLover.places for my company. The xml url is:

http://www.hobnobLover.com/App/hobnobLoverPlaces.xml

If you want to contact me, there are multiple ways:

1. My orkut profile url is:
http://www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?uid=12679988832728204745

2. Feedback form on http://www.hobnobLover.com/ The feedback form can
be found in about, register, and all pages after you register. (We'll
have the feedback button on all pages soon, so it's easier to find).

Thank you.

[opensocial] &bpc=1 not working properly?

2007-11-05 Thread hobnobLover

Hi.

This is starting to become a real pain. I appended &bpc=1 parameter to
override cache, but I don't think it's working. I made a lot of
changes to "my" back-end file, and the changes just do not reflect on
Orkut. I checked multiple times from my server if I was getting
correct results, and I was. However, correct results don't appear on
Orkut.

To avoid possible conflicts, all vars and element names being with our
own prefix.

Some help would be appreciated.
