I'll look into your case and reply to you privately.

Thank you!

[orkut-developer] Re: app not whitelisted

2011-06-25 Thread Bruno Oliveira (btco)
Hi,

Yes, I've seen this situation happen once. A workaround is to remove the app
and add it again, because on the add application screen, you can configure
the permissions.

Thanks!

[orkut-developer] Major update of Orkut Platform Docs!

2011-06-25 Thread Bruno Oliveira (btco)
Hello developers,

I'm pleased to announce that we have just launched a major update and
reorganization of the Orkut Application Platform
Documentationhttp://code.google.com/apis/orkut
.

The update is in English only for now (we will translate to other languages
soon), so if you are using another language, switch to English to see the
new page.

We'd like to thank everyone of you for actively contributing to this forum,
since actions like this one are always a result of your input and feedback.
Our work as Developer Relations is dedicated to making sure developers have
a great experience.

In particular, I would like to publicly recognize Robson Dantas, a true
OpenSocial guru, for his tireless efforts advocating for better
documentation. His input weighed a lot in our decision to carry out this
documentation effort.

You will find several improvements in the new documentation, amongst which:

   - new clearer terminology:
  - on-site apps (gadgets)
  - off-site apps (3LO apps)
   - clear distinction between on-site apps (gadgets) and off-site apps (3LO
apps), with introductory material describing what each one is
   - better organization into sections and subsections
   - all information about the submission flow updated (New Developer Page)
   - 3LO now better documented (with a step-by-step instructions on how to
use the OAuth Playground to test 3LO calls)
   - sample code for every major OpenSocial call, which works directly in
   OrkutDevBox:
  - people
  - friends
  - app data
  - activities
  - messages
  - remote requests
  - photos
  - albums
  - error handling
  - Orkut environment

As always, your feedback is very welcome!
