Re: [osol-discuss] How to setup a dial-up connection ???

2009-09-27 Thread Che Kristo
Visit here to look at your device support:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/wwan/

note that this is not dial-up, it is WWAN, Wireless Wide Area Network...if
you do for some reason want dial up you need a dial up modem.

2009-09-27 Thread Halton Huo
Hi Nathan,

Please use if your goffice version is upper
0.7.5.

GnuCash 2.3.x is already aware of this change.

[osol-discuss] libgoffice header files

2009-09-27 Thread Nathan Kunkee

Hi,

The header file gog-style.h for SUNWlibgoffice seems to have disappeared
between b111 (2009.06) and b123. If you use the IPS search page,
http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev, searching for gog-style.h shows a package for
0.111, while searching for gog-axis.h (also part of libgoffice) shows a package
for 0.123. I found this while trying to build GnuCash. To whom should I report
this?

Thanks!
Nathan

Hello all,

I have OpenSolaris 2009.06 on my laptop and want to connect to internet through
a USB data card (ZTE CDMA 1X MG880 model).

How should I load the USB serial drivers and then configure system for a dial
up connection using the device ???

Re: [osol-discuss] snv122 ahci regression

2009-09-27 Thread Bruno Damour

Hello,
I installed yesterday snv123, and nothing changed afaik. I still do not
see my ezbackup mirror

Furthermore, I had some difficulties booting with snv123 :
The first boot failed to bring X up, and did not either fall back to
console login, so I was stuck.
I had to boot in failsafe mode (what will happen if we loose it ?),
mount my old non-root pool and copy an old xorg.conf into /etc/X11/.
After reboot it failed as well but let me login in console mode so I
could correct my xorg.conf and get it to work.

The rest was no problem, but as I said, I'm still missing one mirror...
Waiting for snv124 or someone to come up with a suggestion...
BTW there are also positive upsides, I saw for the first time my
wireless network adapter appear (urtw) ! Thank you for your good work

Bruno

Hello,
With my asus p5w dh deluxe, I used to have :
- 1 250G system disk with a solaris slice containing my zfs root
- 2 1Tb disks in a zpool mirror
- 2 320G disks using the ezbackup in raid1 mode, showing like 1 stat disk
- 1 500G disk using the jmicron controller

all sata II using ahci
It worked allright in snv121 but in snv122 i lost the 2 320G disks. I
can see it if I change the bios to sata ide mode

I have to mention that the order of the disks changed as well (the
jmicron is now showing as the first, which used to be the system disk
