Re: [osol-discuss] How can I try SUN xVM
Easy as Download the latest DVD, at this time, Build 84. Install on a system, I use AMD64, Dual core 4000, $70 MSI mainboard. If the network card is not seen, use an Intel PRO100(from an old PC). Use at least an 80Gb SATA disk. If you have more than 3Gb ram, after the system is loaded, reduce the memory used with: eeprom physmem=60; reboot (There are driver issues, with 32bit PCI cards) >From the boot splash screen, select the xVM kernel. All done. To make the bootup always go xVM edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and set "Default 1" Keep Smiling //Alan beardal at unixservice dot com dot au This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

I think the latest version of Nexenta can run as an xVM host (dom0), but I haven't tried. regards john ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
