Or I will take your text and add to it and then we can look at it. sound cool ? Dennis That sounds cool, VERY cool! Many Thanks! Either option sounds good, whatever you can do. My goal is to get this up on http://www.opensolaris.org/os/articles/. It can reside in multiple places just fine. The more the merrier. What Linux are you running to host the VMware software? I have stock RH9 here. Dennis ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

I would really appreciate any feedback any of you might have. http://brushmore.blogspot.com/2006/01/installing-opensolaris-on-vmware-draft.html I am going to start over from scratch Bill. I had a VMWare 5.5 setup running but RH9 keeps crashing over the slightest little thing. I have no idea how people work with this trash. On my most recent boot I had to fsck the root partition and then I found that all of my virtual machine definitions were lost. Gone. Bye bye. I then used the Open Existing Virtual Machine or Team and was able to open up my Window XP Pro but the NT4 Primary Domain Controller is gone forever it seems. Even though it is on disk and I see it just fine : http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/stuff/VMWare/VMWare_error_001.jpg I will create a machine with 1GB of RAM and start the Solaris 10 Update 1 install and hope that the VMWare capture screen feature does something less scary than ksnapshot. I would love to try out the capture movie feature too. That could be a riot. Starting over .. for the third time today ... Dennis ps: but I'm real tenacious and I don't give up without a fight. ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
