You can try downloading the last Flash plug-in from the Adobe website and see if it helps but Flash will always use more CPU than your normal web browsing (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/). -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
[osol-help] Does anyone know how to boot from a network
Hi there - our server running 2009.06 is not able to boot thru stage 2 because I inadvertinatly deleted /dev/zvol/rdsk/rpool/dump - I don't have a Live CD at our NOC and have been reading information about booting from another instance of OpenSolaris 2009.06. Right now I have another physical machine running VM and have installed OpenSolaris 2009.06 on it. The CD is in the CDROm of that machine. Is there any way to get to that CD from the machine that won't boot - possibly from the GRUB command line?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org

[osol-help] APIC error interrupt on CPU 0 , status 0 = 0, status 1 =4.floods screen
right after i make a selection from the GRUB menu this message"APIC error interrupt on CPU0 , status 0 =0 status1 =4" floods the screen and i have to reset the compute via the reset button. this is happening on a Foxconn a74ml-k mainboard with an AMD Athlon II x2 240 I think this is the same problem linux was having a couple years ago i think it had to with MCFG and mmconfig http://lkml.indiana.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0605.2/0923.html http://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/29693/ -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
[osol-help] GeForce GTS 250 locks machine build 134 and 2009.06
I recently decided to install osol on one of my machines. I have previously had osol installed on this particular machine without any issues. The only thing that has changed since then is a different video card. The particular card is a Galaxy GeForce GTS 250. During boot-up of the live cd I receive the grub prompt, no matter what option I select the system will lock after displaying the copyright banner. If I attempt to boot using the -skv option the system locks right after it display's the device path for the nvidia0 device. I will attempt to pull the video card out of another computer I have these weekend just to double check but I'm 90% positive that the video card is causing the issue (as I have had osol installed before). If there is any additional information that I have foolishly excluded please let me know :) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
