[osol-help] 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express MEI Controller driver not found

Hi,

I have tried installing opensolaris in my p35, Core 2 duo system. It initially 
keep rebooting  and finally been able to boot completely. Device driver utility 
says 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express MEI Controller driver not found. 

Is there any way out..Pls help

Hi,

Solaris Express 10 Developer edition throws up the following error after 
accessing net through broadband.

Cannot load module 'sockfs'

sockfs: unable to resolve dependency module 'drv/ip'
not found
==

after couple of reboot, system asked to restore repository, which i did with 
last post boot repository. and system started normally.

again from next boot onwards, system shows cannot load module 'sockfs' error.

mannual fsck says filesystem is inconnsistant

pls help me as mine is single boot with solaris..Euro2008 is getting more and 
more interesting

also just want to know what is manifest-import-repository

[osol-help] Solaris Installation

Hi 

I am trying to install solaris 10 in my machine. Failed. Can anybody help me 
pls pls..I am very new to the Opensource OS. 

System configuration 

Intel core 2 duo
Intel dp35Dp
Nvidia PCI Express graphics card
Transcend 1 GB RAM 667

Hi,

Thanks for the help in advance

I got following error when i tried to install Solaris 10 5/11 on Intel core2duo 
system

MB is Intel dp35DP

Error:-

Relocation error: R_AMD64_pc32: file /kernel/AMD64/genunix:
Vn_getops: Value 0xfffe000d61c3
Doesnot fitdo_relocations: /kernel/AMD64/genunix do_relocate failed
Krtld: error during initial load/link phase
Krtld could neither locate nor resolve symbols for 
/platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix
In the boot archive. Please verify that this file matches what is found in the 
boot archive.
You may need to boot using the solaris failsafe to fix this
Unable to boot
Press any key to reboot


Pls help me on this. I am very new to SOlaris

I have got this version from Opensolaris free DVD distribution program by 
courier...

Pls help me if you have solved thisissue before
