[Openstack] VLAN Provider Question

If I have a VM that's getting it's IP addresses from a VLAN provider
network, is it sufficient to have a network namespace that corresponds to
that network?

Or do I also need to have a network interface on the server that
corresponds to it?

For instance, if I have a provider network with a CIDR of 192.168.0.1/24,
and I have a network namespace that maps to that provider network, is that
sufficient? Or do I also need to have a network interface on the control
plane and network node in the same CIDR?

[Openstack] Nova scheduler error notifications

Hi,

In nova icehouse, when a 500 error happened, "scheduler.run_instance" event
was generated. What is the event generated in nova kilo  for a 500 error?
The events have changed to "scheduler.select_destinations.start/end" .

[Openstack] [stable] Call for testing: 2015.1.3 candidate tarballs

We are scheduled to release the next point release of stable Kilo
(2015.1.3).  The current candidates for release are: Ceilometer,
Cinder, Glance, Heat, Horizon, Ironic, Keystone, Neutron,
Neutron-lbaas, Neutron-vpnaas, Nova and Sahara releases on Thursday
Jan 21st 2016.

The current open changes on Gerrit have been frozen to help testing of
the branches prior to release.  Please help test the current
candidates as described below:

[Openstack] FOSDEM 2016

It's new year again and FOSDEM is coming fast.
The biggest community-driven and developer-oriented FOSS event in Europe
takes place on January 30-31 in Brussels, Belgium.

Our request for a booth was accepted and the Foundation kindly offered
support again this year providing goodies and the like.
