[Openstack] Octavia (LBaaS) and Designate
Hi colleagues, is it mandatory to have Designate running in order to have Octavia (LBaaSv2) running as well? I see in logs the following messages: 2017-10-12 12:01:21.915 16382 DEBUG neutronclient.v2_0.client [-] Error message: {"message": "The resource could not be found./>\nExtension with alias dns-integration does not exist\n\n", "code": "404 Not Found", "title": "Not Found"} _handle_fault_response /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/neutronclient/v2_0/client.py:258 2017-10-12 12:01:21.916 16382 DEBUG octavia.network.drivers.neutron.base [-] Neutron extension dns-integration is not enabled _check_extension_enabled /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/octavia/network/drivers/neutron/base.py:65 while never seen neither in documentations nor in config files any mentions about Designate. [Openstack] [summit] Call for mentors (and mentees) for Speed Mentoring in Sydney
Hello, We are so pleased to again offer Speed Mentoring on the first day of the Sydney summit. We're looking for mentors of all types who can join us for lunch. Please consider taking a few hours to help out and give advice to people new and not so new to the community. Speed Mentoring Lunch - Monday November 8, 12:15-1:30PM We're looking for 10-20 mentors, women and men alike, who are interested in offering either technical, career, or (new for this summit!!) community advice. What’s Required? You'll meet with small groups of mentees in 10-minute intervals and answer their questions about how to grow in the community. It's a fast-paced event and a great way to meet new people, introduce them to the summit, and welcome them into the OpenStack community. Mentors will be provided with mentee questions in advance and should plan to arrive at noon. Lunch will be provided! We will contact mentors ahead of time and hold a short call to go over logistics of the event shortly before the summit. Sign up here - https://www.openstack.org/summit/sydney-2017/summit-schedule/events/20369/speed-mentoring-lunch-hosted-by-the-women-of-openstack We also have room for plenty of mentees, so please encourage anyone new (or not so new) to the community to sign up! Thanks in advance!
