Re: [openstack-dev] [fuel] UI experience

2015-12-04 Thread Alexandra Morozova
Hi Sergii,

Thank you very much for your feedback! We really appreciate it.

I guess, you mean Reset
 deployment and Stop
deployment buttons?

The idea here is that all potentially destructive action should be not
exposed to the users, so it will prevent accidental clicking these buttons
which will in most cases lead to broken OpenStack environment configuration.

Reset button is hidden when there were not any
previous deploy operation with the OpenStack environment.
Stop button is hidden when it's impossible to stop
deployment.

Maybe, you are right, that showing disabled button will be better for the
user, but let's keep in mind that it's better to hide some buttons, than to
show a number of disabled ones. That's why the current behavior looks good
for me.

P.S. and again thanks for the feedback, we really need it.

We tend to agree with you, guys, so the appropriated bug
 created.

This annoying behavior will be fixed in this iteration.

Re: [openstack-dev] [fuel] UI experience

2015-12-04 Thread Aleksandr Didenko
Hi,

that's great to know about this new button behaviour, because I was going
to file a bug few days ago when I was not able to find "Stop" button on UI.
But then I updated to a more recent ISO and the button "appeared" again.
Now I know what that was, thank you. And I can't tell that my own
experience was good. Hiding buttons is much more confusing than disabling
them, IMHO.

Regards,
Alex
