Re: [openstack-dev] [ironic] Resigning as a core reviewer
Hi, It's sad to see you go Jay, thanks for all your great work and input on things you've helped to shape Ironic into what it's today. The project will certainly miss you and so will the people involved. Re: [openstack-dev] [ironic] Resigning as a core reviewer
For me, sad is an understatement. It would be a lie if I denied tears at the moment. My brain keeps going back to the sudden tackle hug milliseconds after NobodyCam and BadCub introduced me to the Ironic team at the Paris summit. Seeing and having had a chance to work with a friend that I've had for much longer than OpenStack has been a thing, has been a pleasure and an honor. Jay, you will be truly missed. Please don't be a stranger though. OpenStack is not just a community, at the end of the day it is a family. Likely, the largest, weirdest, close knit, and argumentative family that any of us have ever had the pleasure to be part of. Take care of yourself, and keep your grill ready for when I get a chance to stop by in your neck of the woods. :) -Julia On Wed, Apr 26, 2017 at 3:42 PM, Jay Faulknerwrote: > Hi all, > > > As most of you know, I'm no longer being paid to work on OpenStack Ironic. > Working with you all has been an amazing part of my career, an I've learned > more than you'll ever know. Hi Jay, I'm so SAD to see you go, especially in these circumstances :-( The first time I met you was when you three Js waltzed (err, walked) into the ironic mid-cycle with your IPA proposal. It is the end of an era. We've had some great times; I'll miss your opinions, especially wrt specs :) Thank you so much for your contributions!
