After the discussions we had in Vancouver at the related Forum session 
we have been working on a new spec for the Passport program version 2. 
This spec includes the use case around coupon codes, requirements for 
being a member in the program, changes at Foundation homepage to mention 
some of them.


We now would like feedback from all members member prospects and others 
that have interest in the project. Please vote +1 or -1 together with a 
comment, also online comments are appreciated.

Hi folks,

At last group meeting we decided upon a new meeting time for our 
bi-weekly meetings - new meeting time is: *Thursdays 1400 UTC odd weeks 
in IRC channel #openstack-publiccloud*


Wiki and official calendar file are updated accordingly.

During last meeting we touched on the subject "Forum sessions", got a 
few ideas. Now it's time to start brainstorming more officially. If you 
have a topic - please add it to the official list of topics for the 
Public Cloud WG [1] - and put your name as moderator. If you need or 
would like to have help moderating, please make a note about that and 
I'm pretty sure we can figure out a way to solve that as well.


Next meeting will focus a bit on the Forum sessions - but it is 
encouraged to start discussions in #openstack-publiccloud before that. 
Deadline for proposal submission is April 2nd. More can be read at the 
Forum wiki page [2].

We have under some time had requests of changing the current time for 
our bi-weekly meetings. Not very many suggestions of new time slots have 
ended up in my inbox, so have added a few suggestions my self.


The plan is to have this set and do final voting at tomorrows meeting.

submit (am waiting until start of Rocky for that). The good thing, is that this 
current solution for MFA works, and it can be migrated from to the methods I 
intend to work on for Rocky. The same credential models will be used in 
Keystone, and I will write tools to take users with TOTP credentials and 
configure auth rules for them for more official MFA support in Keystone once it 
is useful.

We will be deploying the above MFA solution in our cloud in the next Month, and 
I'll provide you some updates as to how that goes, but do play with it 
yourselves, and tell me what you think. The solution does require technical 
domain knowledge to setup, but the docs in the above repo should hopefully be 
straightforward, if not, get in touch and I can help.

I hope to have some other useful bits of 'missing public cloud features' 
updates for you soon too.

take the fist steps converting items into a more official list at 
launchpad - where we have a project [1]. Would be awesome to see as many

Hi everyone,

The OpenStack Days Nordic is around the corner, October 18-19th at 
Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center in Copenhagen.


The PublicCloud WG piggybacking on that event and having a Working Group 
Meetup. Time for that will be set during tomorrows bi-weekly meeting 
(1400 UTC #openstack-meeting-3). Will of course be great to see as many 
as possible of you joining us, both for the meetup it self, but also 
socializing during these days and have a drink together!


If you are planning to go to Copenhagen and haven't yet got yourself a 
ticket, as interested int the Public Cloud WG, use "OSDNPCWG2017" as

OpenStack Passport Program at the OpenStack Days UK conference in London next

With this warm welcome from all, I would like to take the opportunity to 
briefly mention a couple of things we are currently working on:

In Boston, we had a great success with our “Missing features list for Public 
Clouds” - a lot of interest, both from public clouds and inside the community. 
With this list, as the name of it says, we're compiling a definitive record of 
features that public cloud vendors would like to see in OpenStack today, and 
what’s needed for them to continue grow their businesses based on OpenStack.

Our process is simple: convert these feature requests into specs, and get 
developers from public cloud providers (and the wider community) to come 
together and contribute upstream.

We're particularly excited to be working on the “OpenStack Passport” - a 
"prepaid coupon” system which is valid for any public cloud vendor 
participating in the scheme. It's early days but please do check our wiki [1] 
and IRC meeting minutes to follow the progress.

To get the passport scheme kicked off right, we are planning to have two group 
meetups during the fall before the summit in Sydney. These will be piggybacking 
on OpenStack days UK (London, September) and Nordics (Copenhagen, October). 
We'd welcome any ideas, support, advice etc and hope some of you will be able 
to join us there for whiteboarding/fishbowl sessions.

Hi folks,

Here comes a summary from yesterdays meeting for the Public Cloud 
Working Group.


The missing features document now got status and priority columns. 
Definitions for each column will be added during the week as well, but 
pretty self-explaining.


We really encourage you all to add new entries to the list, but also to 
add your company name to "Interested Parties"-column if this is an 
important feature for you. This will make the priority easier and more 
accurate.


Our goal here is to keep this document as up to date as possible, so 
feel free to add specs, add comments or whatever to help out with that.


We will continue for now with these summary email, and post them to dev, 
operation and user-committee after each meeting. Happy to get feedback 
if you think this is good or not.


Sean Handley was proposed as third co-chair for the group, and accepted 
as well with 100% in favor in the voting =). We welcome Sean, will be a 
great asset for the group to have him even more involved!


The rest of the meeting was discussions around goals for the current 
cycle. Cycle in the case of this working group is "summit cycles", this 
due to that right now not many representatives in the group attend the 
PTGs.


Instead of writing all suggested goals here, I encourage you to visit 
the etherpad for this 
(https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/SYDNEY_GOALS_publiccloud-wg). Feel 
free to add new goals or just add +1 at some goals. Please add your name 
in the bottom as well.


Some good discussions did take place in #openstack-publiccloud - please 
continue to log in there and start discussions between the meetings as well!
