[opensuse] F12 -> Kerry Beagle Serach — How To Reassign Shortcut?
Hi, I've long used F12 for my own purposes and now (on openSUSE 10.3) find that it activates the "Kerry Beagle Search" (what does "Kerry" refer to?). When I look in the KDE Shortcuts, I cannot see a mapping for F12 or for Beagle. Where is keyboard shortcut configured? Kerry blue terrier, perhaps? It's the only meaning with a dog connection I could find > When I look in the KDE Shortcuts, I cannot see a mapping for F12 or for > Beagle. Where is keyboard shortcut configured? In the kerry config itself. After pressing F12, click on configure, and you'll see it in the "Global shortcuts" part of the "Search" tab Anders -- Madness takes its toll -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

F12 is (was) shown as the "Alternate" sequence for invoking "Show Search Dialog," but when I remove that shortcut, F12 still invokes the Beagle search dialog. Unfortunately you need to restart kerry. It seems it does something wrong when it deregisters its hotkey with the KDE handler Anders -- Madness takes its toll -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The Kerry in this instance being the Irish county of Kerry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerry_Beagle http://www.thebreedsofdogs.com/KERRY_BEAGLE.htm I guess Kerry was chosen so it would obey the K naming convention. It's still not a part of kde, and kcontrol still doesn't have any settings for any third-party (non-core-kde) packages -- Madness takes its toll -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
