[opensuse] Konqueror can't open USB floppy.

My USB floppy won't open in Konqueror.  Konqueror gives me this error
message:
'Method Mount with signature ssas on interface
org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume doesn't exist.'

Any suggestions?  This used to work, and I can access the drive fine
with mtools.  My USB thumbdrive still works, too.

Bug 244485

Also won't open Zip Drives.

No solution as of yet. No obvious activity on bug lately either. I think
Hal is broken and they don't know how to fix it..

maybe remove the memory cards. [ ala 2001 ]

Open the floppy drive Hal. Hal, Open the floppy drive.
