Hi,

Same behaviour here,

EACH time I fire up OpenOffice, the window decorator crash.
This apart, it crashes time to time with no evident causes (at least to me).
I have the same question as Hans, I would be glad to fill up a bug report but
HOW (and how get the kde-window-decorator backtrace ?).

Thank you

gdb>run

gdb>bt
gdb>q

I posted the trace on the forum at compiz.org (not sure where the bug
repo is, or if it has something other than the forums?)

Hi Hans,

Here is the Compiz Fusion Wiki entry on bug reporting:

Hope that helps,

Hi,

I already file a bug at KDE, but they closed it because they told me
that the problem was a theme... i really don't understand, cause i sent
them the KDE's backtrace... the report was filed as number 149179.

Thanks,

Re: [opensuse] No Windows Decorations

2007-08-23 Thread Fernando Costa
I'm using KDEwith compiz and Nvidia, but don't know if compiz is working
fine, because I have tried to do some changes (change themes) with
compiz without success.

How can I know which is my configuration?

If its the new compiz fusion stuff - 0.5.2 - then kde-window-decorator
crashes about 4 times a day on me - I have a icon on my tray that
restarts it!
Still bit unstable. (create icon/script that "killall
kde-window-decorator", then "kde-window-decorator --replace"

Could you please file a bug report with backtrace of
kde-window-decorator crashes.

Thanks

Anytime. How do I get backtrace? gdb?

I can now reliably crash it by opening up OpenOffice.
