A Alt-F2 and a blindly typed 'compiz ccp --replace' restored it in KDE. Run ccsm, enable all the plugins you want, make sure gconf back end is selected if compiz is launch normally (compiz --replace glib gconf) or flat-file backend if you launched compiz with ccp.
