  Hello,

can any make a install in a directory ?

 On which version?

I have RC3 :(.

This YaST2 Modul is total broken.

YaST2 tell me the RPM datas are in use, when I say run YaST and SuSEconfig on
first boot, next reboot the MAIN System was new configured, all default
catalogue are in use .

 With rc2 no problem.
 Have not tried rc3 yet.

Bummer!

Will try GM first thing tomorrow at work. (Downloading now)
Because our project with XEN, dirinstall is rather important to me

otoh, perhaps they are working on my feature-request: being able to use
the auto-install XML-files, which would save at lot of time during
installations!

Hi Hans,

try to put the installation sources on a partition which is not used during
the installation. During installation set-up go to the expert options in
the partitioning menu and make sure that the partition where the
installation source resides is NOT mounted (after the system is installed,
you must add it manually to /etc/fstab). This way it worked for me with
RC3.

Bye,

[opensuse-factory] yast2 bootloader hangs?

2006-05-07 Thread Carl-Daniel Hailfinger
Hi,

did anybody manage to use the yast2 bootloader module in current
factory? It always hangs for me when it wants to write out the
new configuration. Last y2log line is
bootloader/routines/lib_iface.ycp:271 Writing files to system

IIRC it worked well in one of the later betas. Oh well...
Bug #173421

Carl-Daniel
