[opensuse-factory] kio_http

2006-12-28 Thread Hans Witvliet
Anyone else had a system with a load over 250
and a thousand kio_http processes?

Could not find any references, so I submited Bug 230927

Hans

[opensuse-factory] Problems with Intel 965 X300 based graphics

2006-12-28 Thread Birger Kollstrand

Hi ,

We just finished a systems for the family with a MSI G965M mainboard.
The board installed well but came up with a VESA driver in stead of
i810.

Yast seems not to be able to identify the graphics controller (X3000).
Is there some information that I can collect to input to a bug report
on Yast on this?

I understand that this chip is supported in Xorg 7.2. I changed the
driver to i810 in the xorg.conf file and from the Xorg.0.log it loads
the driver and it detects the 965 gfx chip.

Although I did change the Xorg.conf file manually and set the driver
to i810, the graphics performance does not seem to be great, so as a
second request, it would be nice if someone could share their
xorg.conf file with me to compare. (I get around 900 in glxgears)

Regards Birger

Try

  sax2 -r -m 0=i810beta

and add ' Load dri ' to Module section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf
afterwards. Let me know, if that helps and attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

Best regards,
Stefan
