Generally, I've found that Packman/Guru combination contains nearly everything that people keep mentioning are absent from, or have limited functionality in, the opensuse repositories. The big exception is libdvdcss, which can no longer be legally distributed in Germany (I do hope the French remain as stubborn as they have always been :-) ) Though I've never used it, Jan Engelhardt's repository (suser-jengelh) appears to contain a lot of the remaining packages that keep getting mentioned. PS, Donn Washburn mentioned Totem/gstreamer. Things like libdvdcss, libmad, faac, faad, mpeg2dec, ffmpeg and friends, FlightGear, svxlink, mpeg4ip, mplayer, vlc, mencoder, mythtv and may be some others that are not part of the distro or not as we would like them to be.
