Hi Trevor,

you're right, second one was about node4.

Data for node1 follows:
pod12-node1 connections:
eno3 -> ixia port 1
eno4 -> ixia port 2

Installation and configuration of SANDBOX2 is ongoing.

Thank you,

Hi Trevor,

thanks, I've retraced ixia connections for node3 (ci) and node4 (1st sandbox).
I've updated vsperf configuration files at both node3 & node4 accordingly.

Could you, please, update diagrams at appropriate wiki with following details?

pod12-node3 connections:
eno3 -> ixia port 3
eno4 -> ixia port 4

pod12-node3 connections:
eno3 -> ixia port 5

The Ixia is back up ... we discovered that the Win7 date/time was wrong and
this caused a problem with the license. IxNetwork client VM now connects to the
chassis using 10.10.50.6 (as before). Please note that the physical Ixia ports
have been reassigned (VSPERF now uses 1-6).

[opnfv-tech-discuss] Summary of Weekly Technical Community Discussion Thursday November 16

2017-11-16 Thread HU, BIN
Hello community,

Thank you all for attending the technical discussion today.

Today, we started the meeting with a deep-dive of release goals of Model and
VES Projects in Fraser Release. Bryan shared his expectation, experience and
some lessons learned of deploying and using OPNFV. Participants discussed
comprehensively the future evolution of OPNFV in terms of (1) supporting
multiple VIM / clouds, especially bare metal k8s instead of OpenStack-centric
today, (2) improving user experience by reducing complexity of using relevant
tools, and (3) reducing feature project's dependency on installers. Because of
the complexity of the topic itself, Tim (TSC Chair) takes an action to arrange
a session in PlugFest for this topic. Tim and Bryan will work together to scope
this session appropriately, and set up the objectives properly.

We continued the meeting with the discussion of a topic related to Pharos Spec
2.0. Tim shared his observation of the diversity in terms of integration
effort, test case development, test framework evolution, and new hardware
features e.g. SmartNIC within the community. This diversity gives new
challenges to OPNFV in terms of (1) a new Pharos Spec 2.0 that allows evolution
of open labs, (2) an intelligent CI engine that can recognize and
differentiates Pharos-compliant labs in properly setting up CI pipelines, and
(3) an intelligent test framework that can activate or deactivate test cases
appropriately based the specific feature in lab hardware and CI pipeline.
Obviously, a new Pharos Spec v2.0 will lay a foundation and is critical to
achieving intelligent CI and intelligent test framework. Tim will further
advocate this topic in other WGs such as infra, test, etc. Bin will follow up
with Jack Morgan regarding continuing the topic of Pharos Spec v2.0.

For more details, please refer to meeting minutes page [1], which includes
attendees list and IRC log [2].

Thanks

Bin

Subject: [dovetail] Weekly Meeting Agenda - 11/17
Time: 2017-11-16 11:49:07

Hello Dovetail Community,
Here is the proposed agenda for the meeting this week. We will not be having a
meeting next week with the Thanksgiving holiday (Nov 24th). Since there might
only be one other week between now and the plugfest, planning for the event is
the most important topic. We do need to also consider CVP/Dovetail release
issues, as another key topic.
I’m sending this on the CVP alias because I’m still having email woes. Can
someone forward this on the tech-discuss email? I’d appreciate it.
Meeting Time: 14:00-15:00 UTC, 6:00-7:00 PST

  *   Review post-beta issues – (10 min)
 * HA considerations from Wind River - Stephen/Xudan
  *   Release plan – (20 min)
 * Packaging and versioning - review a few slides (action from last week)
 * Release notes & CVP portal homepage
  *   Future planning (20 min)
 * Plugfest content discussion (action from last week) - tutorial and
review of 1st release planned
* Decide and prepare content for roadmap discussion - review a few
slides to kick-start (below are ideas)
   * HA extensions, NFVi forwarding performance, VIM vulnerability
scanning, VNF onboarding
* Hands-on portion needs discussion (below are just ideas):
   * Run Dovetail against Euphrates (including containerized version)
   * Execute open-source/OPNFV traffic generators against OVS
   * Setup and run vulnerability scanning tools against VIM elements
   *   Execute new HA test-cases
  *   Documentation – (5 min)
 *   User guide improvements -

Gerrit
Past meeting minutes
All the best,

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [availability] Discussion about HA API integration

2017-11-16 Thread Fu Qiao
Hi, all. Me and Greg had a call this morning with the compass team about the
possible integration of HA API work in the F release of OPNFV.

Greg mentioned that the HA API work is now a bp for the masakari project of
OpenStack, and will be released out for the Queen release. So we would like
to request the installer team to integrate the masakari project for the next
release.

Chigang, PTL for the compass team, proposed they could help to do the
integration of the masakari project for F release. However the compass team
is working on Pike, which means our HA API is not included.

Chigang also suggested we could work with the XCI team since they are
working on the openstack master branch.

Action Items:

1. Greg will provide the link for the bp and some slides to illustrate
the bp of masakari

2. Fuqiao will reach out to the XCI team and see if we can arrange a
discussion with them during the plugfest.

3. The compass team will help integrate masakari using Ansible for the
F release. Greg will help reach out to the masakari team and see if they
would willing to help for the integration. We will see if we can arrange
another call with the Masakari team before the plugfest.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] Time for the Testperf Meeting & Cancel the Next Meeting

2017-11-16 Thread Yuyang (Gabriel)
Hi,

It seems that the time for Testperf weekly meeting is not clear to all of us.
I was asked to check the time and send out notifications in yesterday's meeting.
For the information, please find as follows.

Usual Time: every week except the apac time
15:00-16:00 UTC / PST 7:00-8:00 / Beijing 23:00-24:00 / IST 20:30-21:30

Moreover, since Thanks Giving is in the next week, the next Testperf meeting
will be cancelled as discussed.

Thanks,

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] Time for the Testperf Meeting & Cancel the Next Meeting

2017-11-16 Thread Alec Hothan (ahothan)
Looks like there is a confusion..,

Note that US west coast is now in PST since a couple of weeks.
My calendar shows the weekly test wg meeting at 8AM - with no indication of DST
(as sent by Trevor)
I went to the meeting this morning but could not find anybody and was wondering
if this week was the APAC time (midnight for west coast – so clearly not great
for us)...

So is the meeting always at 8AM PT (regardless of DST) or 8AM PST/7 AM PDT?
I’d rather see it at 8am PT because I may not make the 7am slot easily every
week (depends on commute).

Anyway, next week Thursday is Thanksgiving Holiday – so should be canceled.

Thanks

   Alec

[opnfv-tech-discuss] Issues/Needs/requirements for Biterg dashboard

2017-11-16 Thread Yuyang (Gabriel)
Hi,

As discussed yesterday, Alberto will provide a proposal for the dashboarding of
testing projects together with a training for the community regarding the
customization of the ELK dashboard.
Before that, there are still several issues we need to resolve.

1. Strange values for version, criteria and scenario. We need to decide
how we deal with these values.

During the discussion we have 3 options here:

a) We can make the dashboard not show the results from these values,
i.e., screening the results from these values

b) Each project to correct the values in TestDB to compliant with our
Naming Conventions

c) We correct as many as we can and leave the ones for project-wise
purposes.

2. Needs/requirements/necessity for generating subpages for testing
projects.

There has been a long discussion about the subpages for testing projects in
Biterg dashboard.

Since the dashboard could automatically generate search results page for
different project/keyword, we need to collect special needs for projects if the
they are planning to show a subpage under the testing tab.

There is a table below made by Morgan summarizing the needs/issues for this
purpose.

If you are planning to create a subpage, please make sure that the testing
results of your test cases are pushed to TestDB and send the example graphs to
Biterg team.

Alberto will make a proposal based on the needs (for the projects that need a
