[opnfv-tech-discuss] #infra LF VPN switch from UDP to TCP

2018-09-18 Thread Trevor Bramwell
Hi all,

If you don't have access to the LF Lab VPN, feel free to disregard this
message.

There have been a few requests to switch the LF VPN from UDP to TCP.
Our infra team is happy to make this change, we just need to schedule a
time for it as it requires changes to both our firewall and VPN client.

This will not affect Jenkins connections, only the connection for users
who need to access resources in the LF Lab (lf-build*, lf-virtual*,
lf-pod*)

The only thing VPN users with an openvpn client configuration will need
to change is:

   proto udp

to

   proto tcp

If you're using a graphical VPN client, there should be just a simple
checkbox for TCP that needs to be checked.

Unless there are any objections, I'd like to schedule this switchover at
the following time:

   Wednesday September 26th, 2018 2PM PDT

Given this time is during ONS next week (Wed 11PM CEST) I just wanted to
make sure there aren't any objections to the time frame.

We'll be sending out an email to everyone who currenlty has VPN access
as well to make sure they're aware of the change.

Please let me know if you have any questions or feel we need to schedule
this at a different time.

Regards,
Trevor Bramwell

2018-09-18 Thread Tina Tsou
Dear all,

Per @David McBride's suggestion, we are
calling new committers for Auto Project at this mailing list.
Because the original committers change company, change job, so we are short of
committers.

If our OPNFV community still cares about integrate ONAP onto OPNFV on x86/Arm,
we would like to encourage people to join the project. Some highlighted
information is here.

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [xci] Timeout

2018-09-18 Thread Mark Beierl
It looked like it was a problem with KVM/qemu. This is XCI inside a VM (ie:
nested virtualization) and something happened that caused the VM to take 100%
CPU on the host, and inside the VM it showed a lot of stolen time.

Destroying/starting the VM allowed XCI to proceed normally.

Hello Mark,

Are you using the latest XCI code? We pushed some fixes recently to
remove some artifacts from previous deployments which may resolve your
problem

Team,

We've reached the halfway point in the TSC election, which closes Tues, Sept 25
at 5 p.m. (CEST). So, if you haven't yet voted, please do so soon. Also, if
you did not receive a ballot and you believe that you are eligible to vote(see
earlier note in this thread), please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks.

Just to be clear, eligible voters are those that have 20 or more contributions,
as shown on the page that I linked in my first email. IOW - not everyone on
that list is eligible. There is also a note at the top of that page about this
with another link to the Community Election Procedure, in case you'd like more
details. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks.

Team,

For eligible
voters,
you should have received an email from "David McBride (CIVS poll supervisor)"
with the subject, "Poll: 2018 OPNFV TSC Election". Note that this email will
NOT come from my LF email address. Please click on the link in the email and
follow the instructions to complete your vote. The vote will close on Sept 25
at 5 p.m. (CEST), per our agreement in the TSC meeting today.

If you did not receive the email to vote, and you believe that you should have,
please contact me immediately and let me know which email address you'd like to
use.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [Auto] Jira clean & sweep

2018-09-18 Thread Klozik Martin
Dear Auto team members,

as part of Gambia "stabilisation efforts", I did a clean up in our Jira.
Details could be found at following jira:

https://jira.opnfv.org/browse/AUTO-64

I would like to ask you to go through the tickets assigned to you and to:

  * close tickets which are done
  * change "Fix Version" in case that ticket is not related to Gambia, but it
is set to 7.0.0 (e.g. set it to 8.0.0)

You could use following dashboard to list all active tickets assigned to you
(click on your name below the first pie chart).
