Hi Harry,

I've taken lf-build3 out of rotation for now, as we only brought it online to
help with the build queue the other day.

This should make your builds get scheduled on ericsson-build4 or lf-build2
where they've been successful in the past.

Trevor Bramwell

Hi Trevor

Sorry to bother you again but lf-build3 has blocked our build process again.
I'm wondering if this permission issue for lf-build3 can be solved permanently
so we won't have to bother you anymore?

Thanks
Harry

[opnfv-tech-discuss] 答复: [Auto] Deploy kubernetes on ARM server using Compass4NFV

2018-02-27 Thread huangxiangyu
Joe

K8s scenario has two ways to be deployed, baremetal deploy (install k8s on 3+2
nodes) and virtual deploy (install k8s on VMs launched on jump server). The
nodes and VMs number need not to be exactly 3+2, no ha is also supported.

Harry,
Is compass installing Openstack (aka OPNFV) on these 3+2 servers in the
typical 3-node-HA controller and 2 compute nodes?
Or is it installing k8s on the 5 nodes?

Thanks,

Maybe to use “Node” is more understandable here. Say a six servers’ cluster,
there is a blade used as a jump server and other five blades will be nodes to
host the infra layer. This is exactly how we deployed in our lab. So in the end
six server will be one Ubuntu (jump host) and five CentOS (3+2 multi-node
cluster).

Harry,
Just re-read this and noticed I missed a big important thing.
This supports only centos7 on arm, for now.

My jump server is currently running ubuntu 16.04.
I probably won’t tear the jump server down and re-deploy centos7 on it at
this point.
Does this use-case of Compass result in a VM being deployed? I’m just
curious if it’s worth trying this on a VM in my open stack environment.

Thanks,

Shouldn’t I be connecting to a local IP address of the ONAP portal running on

You will see a noVNC login page, password is “password”, then you will see a

This ONAP on Kubernetes is not connected to an OpenStack yet so I think most
likely we have to tear down this ONAP and redeploy it when there is a VIM ready
to be connected.
Sorry Gokul, I didn’t get your email address. Joe or Tina, can you help to add

[opnfv-tech-discuss] [Auto] URL to access ONAP portal

2018-02-12 Thread huangxiangyu
Hi Joe

Here's the link to access ONAP portal built in pod1 of UNH Laas lab:
http://10.10.30.157:30211
You will see a noVNC login page, password is "password", then you will see a
desktop and I already opened the browser so you should find the main page of
ONAP portal just there.

This ONAP on Kubernetes is not connected to an OpenStack yet so I think most
likely we have to tear down this ONAP and redeploy it when there is a VIM ready
to be connected.
Sorry Gokul, I didn't get your email address. Joe or Tina, can you help to add
Gokul to this loop? thanks.
I will be on Chinese new year vacation during 2.14 to 2.22 but I will check the
mail time to time, we can keep discussion on this thread.

Regards
Harry

[opnfv-tech-discuss] 答复: [Auto][ONAP] Are there any tips for installing "DCAE-only" on OPNFV/OpenStack

2018-02-08 Thread huangxiangyu
Hi joe

Have you try the tech discuss mail list of ONAP ? I tried to look into the
dace_vm_init.sh but all the api calls written in shell is really hard to
read... Anyway I'm trying this
https://onap.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submodules/dcaegen2.git/docs/sections/installation_manual.html?highlight=dcae
installation guide now for instruction in readthedocs seems more up to date
and better composed. Also let me know if you crack something, keep in touch.

Regards
Harry

主题: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [Auto][ONAP] Are there any tips for installing
"DCAE-only" on OPNFV/OpenStack

Hi,
I’m looking for pointers for installing DCAE on an Openstack environment for
the Auto project.
We’re installing most of ONAP on kubernetes, but DCAE is not quite ready (a
couple of weeks out?) for deployment on k8s. So, we’d like to install DCAE by
itself (as much as possible) on an OPNFV bare metal pod’s open stack
environment.

I’m not very experienced with ONAP. I have done a couple of ONAP deployment
attempts using the heat template, but am chasing a number of small issues. My
hope is that if I can limit the installation scope to just DCAE, then it’s a
little easier to focus;)

In the meantime, I’ll continue working on full ONAP install on openstack with
the heat template.

Thanks!

Hi Madhukesh

If you are considering develop Auto test case using LAAS lab in UNH, I can help
you with onap environment set up. Lincoln from UNH can help us to build the
baremetal cluster like bryan illustrated. Let us know what you need.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] 答复: [Auto] Re: All pods are pending when setting up kubernetes

2017-10-18 Thread huangxiangyu
The prepull_docker.sh works and I can see 7 green lines with Kubectl
cluster-info. But kubernetes pods just keep pending. Parker would you please
help to reinstall a Ubuntu 16.04 in this pod ? Maybe there is no such issue in
ubuntu environment.

Tina, Harry,
It looks like your kubernetes pods under rancher are not up – they are all
0/1 or 0/3 – in the instructions after setting up your kube client run
Kubectl cluster-info
– you should see all 7 green lines – errors usually means there are issues
either with your file system or dns – are you running collocated (server/client
on same machine – I think so right?)
Also I need to update the meeting minutes with the demo video – I’ll post the
time where I checked this during the demo.

For any image issues - could you verify that you ran the prepull_docker sh
script from the page
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/ONAP+on+Kubernetes#ONAPonKubernetes-QuickstartInstallation

https://jira.onap.org/secure/attachment/10501/prepull_docker.sh

[https://jira.onap.org/images/icons/issuetypes/story.svg]OOM-328 - Preload
docker images script before createAll.sh will allow 7 min startup IN
PROGRESS<https://jira.onap.org/browse/OOM-328>

curl https://jira.onap.org/secure/attachment/10501/prepull_docker.sh >
prepull_docker.sh
chmod 777 prepull_docker.sh
nohup ./prepull_docker.sh > prepull.log &

Then do the following to verify that at least all the docker images were pulled.
Docker images

After that try bringing up an independent component like onap-robot – this does
not need anything else and can be used to verify your install

./createAll.bash –n onap –a onap-robot

Currently I manage to bring up onap pods in our local lab and most of them are

Everything seems fine and throws no error when I created rancher-agent. Somehow
pods in kube-system just keep getting stuck in pending state. I check the
docker images and even images for these pods are not pulled.
[root@pod1 ~]# kubectl get pods --all-namespaces -a

This new pod should be powerful enough but still installed centos. I used to
have no problem when setting up undercloud in previous pod which is also a
centos pod. Have you ever met this problem ? or maybe we should ask UNH lab to
reinstall a Ubuntu OS.

Hi Harry,

A significant improvement to OOM was pushed on Friday, see the attached email.
This new error refers to missing values in the
/oom/kubernetes/config/onap-parameters.yaml configuration file.

Cheers,
Roger

Those two nginx containers are created manually for test purpose. I’m afraid
that I don’t have any Ubuntu 16 environment right now so I have to continue
test with Ubuntu 14. I just pull the oom repo today and there is new error
appears when running ./createConfig.sh -n onap.
kubectl logs:
Validating onap-parameters.yaml has been populated
Error: OPENSTACK_UBUNTU_14_IMAGE must be set in onap-parameters.yaml

However It’s not always successful when I creating the config pod even before I
pulled the oom repo. Usually, this config pod stays at creating state and never
be completed. I ran the deleteAll.bash and delete /dockerdata-nfs just as wiki
instructed. So am I missing any step ?

Thanks
Harry

Harry,
   Hi, some comments.
The nginx containers – we are not deploying these, since they are in the
default namespace they don’t look part of a normal rancher setup as well – I am
curious where these 2 pods came from and why you would need a reverse proxy –
also verify you are running rancher on 8880 to avoid 80/8080 conflicts with
these.
I am suspicious of this reverse proxy – I would expect your forwarding
issues stem from these 2 servers – normally used to manage a private subnet –
they might not be handling IPV6 traffic (I remember an issue with this in
general from a couple years ago)

default nginx-deployment-431080787-6chxv 1/1 Running
  0 1d
default nginx-deployment-431080787-9nswb 1/1 Running
  0 1d

I would recommend you run on Ubuntu 16.04 not 14 – may work OK but all our
examples assume 16 and we have not tested 14 (note that I had issues with 17).
In a build before last Saturday – I did see the same 3 pods fail to come up
vnc-portal, sdc-be and sdc-fe – make sure you have pulled from master this week
- (try a git pull) – then reset your config pod via the following if any new
content comes in.
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/ONAP+on+Kubernetes#ONAPonKubernetes-Delete/Rerunconfig-initcontainerfor/dockerdata-nfsrefresh

The aai-gremlin pod is not required and can be ignored for now – but it
normally starts up – see the OOM-Kubernetes status section on

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/ONAP+master+branch+Stabilization#ONAPmasterbranchStabilization-20170907:OOMKubernetes

 thank you

Tina, Harry,
Hi, sorry to hear that. Could you post your environment (Ubuntu 16.04 ?)
We can compare network setups then as I have not seen an IPV6 issue yet.
Are you seeing all 6 pods of the k8s/rancher stack
   Post your results from a
   Kubectl get pods –all-namespaces –a
You should see all 1/1 or 3/3
There are sometimes issues with a clustered rancher setup where the dns pod
is 0/1 above.

Thank you
/michael

[opnfv-tech-discuss] API mismatch between Open-O and Compass

2016-12-19 Thread huangxiangyu
Hi Yingjun

Currently , OpenStack Newton deployed by Compass use keystone API V3
instead of V2 . I assume there may be API mismatch when Open-O talk to
OpenStack. Please check with Open-O developers if Open-O only support keystone
V2. And if so, modification should be made in Open-O in order to integrate with
Compass. BTW, does this issue also exist in JuJu ? maybe victor can answer this
question ?

Yes, for now we don't have manpower for vIMS test case and scripts.

I'm not familiar with the plugfest project. Do I understand correctly with the
plugfest scripts? Please point out if I‘m wrong.
Huabing: Sorry typo, it should be FuncTest.

Hi Huabing

I’d just confirm with you that ZTE team will contribute for
1. vIMS service template design and development
2. FuncTest integration with vIMS test scripts

Leaving the vIMS test cases and scripts dev for others. Is that right?

Basically the Plugfest is not a project, just an event.

Thanks
Yingjun

Hi Yingjun,
We can contribute to the vIMS service template design and the functest scripts
to install the open-o with compass and run the use case, for the vIMS test case
, I'm afarid ZTE team may not have enough manpower to do that part.

I'm not familiar with the plugfest project. Do I understand correctly with the

Hi Yingjun,

Glad to hear OPREA integrating with Compass..

We have finished OpenStack Newton release integation in Danube MS3. In next
step, it is planning to support feature project integrating.

Huangxiangyu is good at Compass integration, I recommend him as the cross
liaison between Compass and OPREA.

About integrating with Funtest and CI/CD process, you can contract Functest and
Infra working group to get more professional advise from them.

Best Regrads

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] congress support in compass4nfv

2016-10-31 Thread huangxiangyu
Hi, Bryan

The error log is a little too long to post on IRC, so I just send you via
email. But IRC is good place to communicate, we can talk about the further
detail there. for the deploy environment, I am using ubuntu 16.04.1 on my
hosts and this version of ubuntu has official congress debs. Here is what I
got using apt list command:
 congress-common/unknown,now 3.0.0+dfsg1-1 all
 congress-server/unknown,now 3.0.0+dfsg1-1 all
 python-congress/now 4.0.0.0rc2~dev80-1
 python-congressclient/unknown 1.2.3-2 all
after configuration and database operations, I encounter the no module named
antlr3 error. I try to fix it by installing antlr_python_runtime but I got
error_log_1 when installed runtime V3.0.1 , error_log_2 when installed V3.1.3.

Thanks

Hi Harry,

Can you drop a console log or other details on the process you are using to IRC
(#opnfv-copper) or on an etherpad somethere etc? I need to understand where you
are getting the Congress code (e.g. "congress debs") and what
environment/process you are using to install it. I'm not familiar with antlr
and don't know what role it might have in the install. But I can probably
figure it out with more info.

Congress should be installed as a basic service that is available in all

You can see they types of policy use cases that are in development for Congress

The Doctor project also depends upon Congress for some of its features.

I have an existing Ansible

in the copper repo, that needs to be updated since I moved to a simple
bash-script
approach<https://git.opnfv.org/cgit/copper/tree/components/congress/install/bash>
back in Brahmaputra, and then worked with the JOID and Apex teams on their
installer tools (JuJu and Puppet). We can talk about updating that script at
some meeting if you want to set it up. We don't have regular meetings in Copper
at this time.
