setevents clients_seen confirmed to work ?
I am running a bridge using Tor version 0.2.1.19. It is being used, and: setevents bw and: setevents orconn are generating lots of lines of output. However, setevents clients_seen, even after several days, has not produced a single line of output. I see in the changelog that this was previously broken - do we know that this indeed works now ? *** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majord...@torproject.org with unsubscribe or-talkin the body. http://archives.seul.org/or/talk/
Re: arm, TorCtl, and FreeBSD
On Sun, 4 Oct 2009, Damian Johnson wrote: The most recent version tries to resolve the pid with pidof, netstat, then ps. The only issue I'm aware of at the moment for arm on BSD/OSX is that their versions of netstat are different from Linux so the connections page won't show you anything. Someone's suggested using lsof as a fallback (it's supposed to be more portable), which I'll look into at some point. Cheers! Thanks again for this great tool - it's difficult to put time and resources into running a Tor node without having any indication that it's "working". It's possible that there is a group of command line switches in BSD netstat that, while different from the switches you use with GNU netstat, might provide the same information. If not, I patiently await integration with netstat so that I can see the connections page in FreeBSD. *** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majord...@torproject.org with unsubscribe or-talkin the body. http://archives.seul.org/or/talk/
FYI: WNR3500L
Netgear just launched a reasonably powerful 802.11n router with open firmware: http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/RangeMaxWirelessNRoutersandGateways/WNR3500L.aspx At 99 EUR, it looks like a good host for these MIPS tor packages. -- Eugen* Leitl http://leitl.org";>leitl http://leitl.org __ ICBM: 48.07100, 11.36820 http://www.ativel.com http://postbiota.org 8B29F6BE: 099D 78BA 2FD3 B014 B08A 7779 75B0 2443 8B29 F6BE *** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majord...@torproject.org with unsubscribe or-talkin the body. http://archives.seul.org/or/talk/

You may find this script useful that parses these archives and tells you whether an IP address was a relay at a given time: https://tor-svn.freehaven.net/svn/projects/archives/trunk/exonerator/ The script is available in Java and in Python. Directory History
Hi, I think this question has already been asked before, but I can't find it...so: Is there an archive anywhere where I can see what Tor nodes have been active at a specific date? I'm in court (Jena, Germany) in 3 weeks because someone ordered something (worth about 50 Euro) and they're accusing me now. I think it would be good not only to explain them what Tor is, but to have an excerpt from a directory listing around the date, so I can prove my Tor node was active that time. Thanks in advance, morphium *** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majord...@torproject.org with unsubscribe or-talkin the body. http://archives.seul.org/or/talk/

Thanks, Lucky. Apparently, my firewall (pfSense 1.2) was wedged in a funny state, now after reboot no more funny message. -- Eugen* Leitl http://leitl.org";>leitl http://leitl.org __ ICBM: 48.07100, 11.36820 http://www.ativel.com http://postbiota.org 8B29F6BE: 099D 78BA 2FD3 B014 B08A 7779 75B0 2443 8B29 F6BE *** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majord...@torproject.org with unsubscribe or-talkin the body. http://archives.seul.org/or/talk/
Tor at Manchester Free Software
Hello people, I'm contacting you on behalf of Manchester Free Software[1], a group set up in 2007 to promote and raise awareness of free software[2] in Manchester. As well as the free software angle, our group also covers topics which impact on the freedoms of computer users. Therefore, we are hoping that someone from the Tor community would be willing to give a talk on the project and/or conduct a workshop in partnership with MFS and the MDDA[3]. The schedule for talks is relatively busy at the moment with speakers booked up until Christmas. Although, we can be more flexible with the workshops. If anyone is interested then please do not hesitate to contact me for further information. Thank you all for your time. Best wishes, Leslie [1] http://manchester.fsuk.org/ [2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_software_movement/ [3] http://www.manchesterdda.com/ -- http://www.fsf.org/ Support The Freedom! *** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majord...@torproject.org with unsubscribe or-talkin the body. http://archives.seul.org/or/talk/
