Job Summary

As a Senior Front-End Developer you will play a key role in delivering

approaches for the larger Creative Design community at Client. 
*   Based on functional specifications, optimize development for
User Experience.
*   Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and be able to
promote their usage as project needs dictate.

Experience Guidelines:

 

*   3+ years of industry experience
*   Excellent knowledge of hand-coded (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and
the DOM
*   Strong experience in developing standards compliant, CSS based
layouts
*   Knowledge of JavaScript/UI libraries and their use in
implementing AJAX solutions

* Must dominate at least one of the following libraries: jQuery,
Dojo, Ext, script.aculo.us

*   Understanding of SEO and accessibility issues and how they
relate to development
*   Accessibility and 508 compliance a plus
*   Good working knowledge of the Adobe suite of products

Skill and Role Summary:

Implementation of a back office accounting and P&L calculation system
that is supported by a trade and accounting data warehouse.  This role
is specific to the User Interface, which encompasses:

* A browser based pivot table functionality

* Presentation of aggregations across pivot dimensions for like
dimension types

* Interfaces to server-side in-memory cube to perform the pivot
functionality

* The ability to store pivot configurations and to re-initialize
a previously created pivot table.

* Support for multiple dimension  types that are configurable

* Calculated custom columns

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

* Development, unit testing, and defect fixes of their code as
identified by QA

* Provide status at a daily team checkpoint; raise issues that
are hindering their progress, etc

* Work as part of a team to deliver a quality solution to the
client

 


Requirements:

 

5+ years of experience

We are looking for a solid Web UI Developer who has strong front-end and
UI experience. The candidate must have an exceptional front-end Java
background and prior UI development expertise. 

* Strong experience developing front-end and UI in Java/J2EE, JavaScript
and Jquery

 * Expertise with HTML and CSS 
* Strong experience with AJAX and Apache Wicket 
* Solid understanding and working experience with Hibernate 
* Working experience with Agile scrum is a big plus

* Working experience with Captial Markets industry application is
preferrable

* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal),

Role - UAT Manager

Location - Toronto 

Duration - 6 months extendable

 

Job Description

 

We are looking for a Test Manager (not a QA Manager). The Test Manager
must have experience with large, complex data-intensive initiatives
across multiple legacy and trading applications. They must be able to
work within a large enterprise program and provide direction to a team
of technology professionals, business analysts and subject matter
experts. 

The Test Manager will be working on a enterprise wide Regulatory
Project. 

Please submit candidates who have worked and understand trading and
settlement applications. This individual would need to have strong
technology background and understands data and systems, in particular
Wholesale banking - Capital Market (deposits, payments, or wealth
products). 

We are not looking for a Test Manager with web development or people
manager or test methodologies guru. Key Activities for the Test Manager
role include: 

Overall accountability for planning, developing, maintaining and
executing the project Test Estimates, Test Strategy and Test Plans
(including Master Test Plan) 

Overall accountability for efficient use and suitability of test
resources, assets, environments and data. 

Overall accountability for pre, during and post-project communication
and reporting of test activities, progress and issues, internally to the
test team, to the Project Management team and to Senior Management when
required. 

Ensure best practices are adopted for the project 

Ensure appropriate Processes and Audit standards are applied 

Reviews & approves SDLC Test Execution and Signoff artefacts 

Prepare Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts when necessary 

Execute Test Cases, Test Scripts when necessary with business SME and
test analysts 

Set up test results recording structure in HPQC 

Record, retest and update Test Defects when necessary 

Reviews and verifies the BRD and SRS artefacts for fitness as input to
test 

Monitors attainment of entry and exit criteria as set in the MTP 

Sets up and conducts defect triage meetings 

Provides support to business during BAT (UAT, SIT and PAT test phases)

 

This project is very data intensive and assembling feeds. This
individual will need to have at least ten (10) years experience with
legacy applications and at least five (5) years experience with trading
applications. This individual will need to be very sr. level in their
experience and possess extremely strong communication and presentation
skills. The manager has highlighted this as one of the most important
skills and this individual will be involved with executive level
presentations as well as communication across both technology and
business lines. 

The role will also require the manager to perform testing along with
their team. They need to have experience with UAT testing or managed UAT
testing. They also have managed non testers and non developers in UAT
environment. This individual needs to have strong verbal and written
communication skills. 

Candidates with Wholesale banking - Capital Market (deposits, payments,
or wealth products) experience will be given preference. Candidates
shoud have worked with large, complex data-intensive initiatives
projects on multiple legacy and trading applications in the past.
Resumes need to demonstrate the candidate has worked as a Test Manager
for at least ten years with strong emphasis on projects with data
extracts and understands data and systems. 

An initial interview with the hiring manager will take place, followed
by a second interview with both the Project and Program manager assigned
within the project. This is a six month contract with a strong
possibility of extension beyond six months.
