Project Details: This position is to provide on-going support from IBM Storage products at the customer locations. The primary work location will be Charlotte, N.C. with travel to other Data Centers in the US. Performance analysis and tuning, understands best practices deployments for large enterprise accounts. Skill is needed with TPC for disk specifically in using it to do performance analysis and monitoring of SVC. Understanding of IO rates and performance tuning. Do not need skill on other TPC products. Would be useful to know how to install TPC for disk. Understand deployment best practices of SVC in large scale enterprise accounts for RAS. Understanding of EMC symmetrix attached to SVC is crucial. Problem determination SVC required. Knowledge of Thin Provisioning (SEVs) very important, as well as Global Mirror functio and Flashcopy. Knows SVC management CLI and GUI. Knows SDD Excellent customer facing skills. Good at skills transfer and dealing with pressure situations. Probably needs to have read all of the Redbooks on SVC. Good at navigating the IBM support structure to fastpath any issues that get opened (PMRs). Major required skills: IBM San Volume Controller (SVC) - Must have Master level skills in SVC. IBM Total Productivity Center (TPC) Knowledge of IBM support structure. Excellent customer interface skills.
