Job Description Role and Responsibilities The developer will manage the migration of data from AS400 into the new solution database and/or manage the development of a range of interfaces to be built around the new application to various other strategic component of the new solution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Experience in creating, modifying stored procedures and programming using SQL/PL-SQL · Analyzing the existing DB structure, file system, or any other source of data · Prepare Data conversion scripts · Managing the creation of data conversion routines (from legacy to target) · Managing the data conversion activities and process · Design of SSIS packages and other tools used to implement ETL processes between various data sources, including product databases, third-party applications and other data sources · Develop procedures in SQL Server. Have extensive knowledge of SQL Server database development concepts such as common table expressions, nested sub queries, indexed views, table partitioning, windowed functions, and aggregate functions. · Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data or formatting. · Use ad-hoc queries to investigate data issues in relational source systems · Complete quality projects on time and on budget. · Analyze current and potential systems for conversions and product integration scenarios. · Write queries using SQL to produce reports for users.
