The Senior Agile Coach will interact with and influence Agile and SAFe
adoption and attendant organizational transformation among a broad and
varying audience from Senior Leadership to the Agile team level.
The Senior Agile Coach will work with leadership with varying levels of
Agile knowledge to educate, propose and facilitate the adoption of
Portfolio and Program level SAFe/Agile adoption. The Senior Agile Coach
will play a key role in establishing, growing and continuously improving
the foundational materials, processes and brand of the Agile Practice.
The Senior Agile Coach will lead team-level adoption as necessary to ensure
effective application of Agile principles and applicable standards in
alignment with the Agile methodologies used at T. Rowe Price (Scrum, XP,
Kanban, SAFe).
Approximately 40% of the Senior Agile Coach's time would be spent focusing
on the following: Uses consultant-level Agile and SAFe experience to
influence Agile and SAFe adoption and attendant transformation among a
broad and varying audience from Sr. Leadership to Agile teams. Uses
expertise to conduct organizational assessments for Agile/SAFe adoption and
project management skills to create organization adoption plans and lead
execution of the plans. Deliver coaching primarily at the Portfolio and
Program levels.
Approximately 25% of the Senior Agile Coach's time would be spent focusing
on the following: Leveraging extensive training, communication and delivery
experience and certifications, plays the lead internal training role for
Agile and SAFe adoption including input to and delivery of the established
Agile Practice training program; creating and delivering additional
training needed; leading Agile training strategy and partnering with the
Agile Program Manager to evolve the change management strategy and
associated execution plans.
Approximately 20% of the Senior Agile Coach's time would be spent focusing
on the following: Combining varied external experience with acquired
understanding of internal T. Rowe Price culture, drive change and grow
organizations to the desired level of Agile/SAFe maturity via
establishment, growth and continuous improvement of the foundational
materials, processes and brand of the Agile Practice
Lastly, about 15% of the time, the Senior Agile Coach will mentor Agile
Practice teammates. Provide team-level coaching and onboarding as necessary
The Sr. Agile Coach will be a recognized leader in the TRP Agile
transformation effort and a critical "face of Agile" to both leadership and
execution teams. In addition to the extensive experience, skills and
knowledge that will enable the credibility required, the Sr. Agile Coach
will exhibit an effective balance of poise and maturity critical to
effective change management efforts.

Minimum Requirements
College degree and 6 years of related work experience, or Associate degree
and 8 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and
10 years related work experience
• At least six years of experience in Agile Coaching and Mentoring
• At least two years’ experience implementing SAFe
• At least six years of demonstrated experience leading business and/or IT
process change efforts
• At least seven years’ experience in IT Project Management or technical
leadership
• Ability to influence change at the leadership level to the team level;
Ability to form productive relationships quickly and create the spheres of
influence required for organizational transformation
• Outstanding training, presentation and facilitation skills including
strong PowerPoint skills
• Must be able to develop productive working relationships with a wide
variety of teams and leaders

Experience and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and
Frameworks (service layer isolation)
Experience and understanding of Front End User Experience and Front End
Development technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and
JavaScript.
Understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative development
Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and
procedures
Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task
definition
Understanding of incremental delivery and the value of metrics
Excellent English communication skills in written and spoken form
Solid interpersonal skills, passion around facilitation, empowerment, and
servant leadership

Assets:
Scrum Master Industry certification
SAFe Certification(s)
Lean Methodology Certifications
Healthcare experience
Understanding of other processes and methodologies and ability to speak
intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to
provide value to the program/enterprise
Understanding of the value of commitments to delivery made by a development
team
Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and
better development practices
Participation in industry agile communities of practice
