*Need Product Owner in NJ - 1 year contract!* Position : Product Owner Location : Basking Ridge,NJ Duartion : 1 year Job Description: The Product Owner (PO) is the member of the team responsible for defining and prioritizing the Team Backlog so as to streamline the execution of program priorities. The Product Owner holds the product vision and works closely with stakeholders (e.g. end users, customers, and the business leaders) to cultivate and nurture a community around the product. They ensure the team is building the right product. They describe what should be built and why, but not the how. The Product Owner has a significant role in quality, and is the only team member empowered to 'accept' new stories.1 This position requires individuals who have successfully delivered business value as part of an agile / scrum team. Responsibilities: Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog, including definition of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria Serve as the "voice of the customer" with delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customer 's perspective throughout the product realization cycle Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop and execute against Product Roadmaps and Release Plans Continuously and transparently communicate with internal stakeholders the prioritization of the Product Backlog and the status of development efforts via Product Demos and Release Plans Define, prioritize, and drive realization of specific product vision Work with Scrum Masters to help direct, motivate, and guide the delivery teams Respecting Scrum Team estimates, story points, and tasks Act as the subject-matter expert for assigned products Attends all of the Scrum ceremonies Break down epic-level user stories into detail-level stories consumable and testable by a scrum team Requirements: 3-5 years in Product Management (or related positions) in the Health Care Industry Experience acting as a Product Owner for multiple scrum teams: Writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance Experience developing Web-based software, ideally via Lean/Agile scrum methodology Passion for customers and a demonstrated focus on customer experience Energy, motivation, and commitment to drive to results in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
